BEHDÎNAN – Karayilanlan said that the guerrillas in Zap and Avaşînên have been carrying out a desperate resistance for 15 days and added, “There is no more legitimate cause than the Kurdish people’s demand for freedom. Every guerrilla stands like a lion in front of the enemy. We believe in our intellect, in our ways and means. We are confident in the perspective of a revolutionary people’s war. Fight against the enemy with this belief and determination. The enemy also wants to achieve the result through immoral means and methods. Therefore, victory will not belong to the enemy, it will belong to us, victory will belong to the freedom fighters of Kurdistan.”
Commander of the People’s Defense Center Murat Karayilan evaluated the recent occupier attacks of the Turkish state and the resistance of the guerrillas from Deng Deng radio.
We left May 1st as Labor Day. The month of May is also the Month of the Martyrs. What do you want to say about this month?
First of all, I congratulate the 1st of May, Labor Day, to the workers in Kurdistan and to everyone. May 1st is the day of the development of struggle and resistance. By this means I salute all the protesters.
I also celebrate the Feast of Ramadan among our people and the entire Islamic world. I especially celebrate the holiday with the parents of our heroic martyrs, kissing their hands. Days like this are also days of remembrance of the martyrs. We believe that the upcoming holidays will be celebrated in Kurdistan in a free environment. Today is a holiday, but in our country there are oppression, massacres, deaths, arrests and arrests. That is, the enemy attacks. I hope that this holiday will be a means to the unity of our people.
We entered a holy month. May is the feast day of workers and laborers, the feast of the Islamic world and the month of martyrs. May 1 is the anniversary of the martyrdom of Ramazan Kaplan who was martyred in Xerzan, Abdulkadir Çubukçu who was martyred in Beirut. May 2 is the anniversary of the martyrdom of our first commanders Mehmet Karasungur and Bbrahim Bilgin, the anniversary of the martyrdom of our commanders Azad Amed Ciser and Çekdar Amed.
WE STARTED ON THE TRACE OF THE MARTYRS
Many of the martyrs of freedom and democracy in Turkey were martyred in May. Deniz Gezmis was martyred on May 6 and Ibrahim Kaypakkaya on May 18. On May 17, ‘Çaran’ was launched under the leadership of Ferhat Kürtay. On May 18, our first martyr Haki Karer was martyred. In the person of these friends I respectfully remember all the martyrs of the month of May. Our party is a party of martyrs. This movement, this party has reached this level thanks to the martyrs. The PKK was formed after the martyrdom of his friend Hakki Karer and strengthened every martyrdom of this party. Martyrdom is our source of strength and struggle. This fact continues to this day. Our movement on the trail of martyrs, has taken many steps and reached this level.
May 2 is the 39th anniversary of the martyrdom of Mehmet Karasungur. May 2 is also the day of the martyrdom of Azad Ciser and Çekdar Amed. Mehmet Karasungur, one of the first commanders of the Kurdistan Freedom Fighters, led the resistance in Hilwan and Sewereg. At the same time, he worked hard for the establishment of national unity and the end of the conflicts between the Kurds. Even while working for this he was martyred along with his friend Ibrahim.
Friends Mehmet Karasungur and Bbrahim Bilgin 39 years ago tried to build national unity, which our people still need today. I hereby call once again for the realization of national unity; everyone must act responsibly in this matter and fulfill their duty. In the person of my friend Mehmet Karasungur, I once again respectfully remember the martyrs of May Day and the martyrs of the Kurdistan Revolution. I repeat the promise we made to them once more; we will be faithful to their cause to the end.
THE LAST YEAR OF THE AKP
Occupying Turkish state attacks on the Median Protection Areas continue. As you have said before, this war is a constant war for both sides. What is the level of the war that has been going on for 15 days?
The ruling AKP-MHP is not a power out of order. This government was formed to defeat the struggle for the freedom of Kurdistan and to destroy the achievements of the Kurdish people. He sees the existence and status of the Kurdish people as a threat to the Turkish state, and therefore wants to eliminate the PKK and the Kurdish people. The government sees this as a duty for itself. That is why we have been waging a general war against us for 7 years.
The war began with the intensification of isolation in Imrali. Violence in prisons continued to increase. We also carried out a great policy of aggression against our people, against the fighters of democratic politics in Turkey. Large-scale attacks were also launched against the guerrillas in every area. The AKP-MHP government was unable to defeat all these attacks. It therefore entered into political, social and economic crises. As it is known last year with the attack on Gare wanted to gain a victory, but was defeated against the resistance of the guerrillas. Even now with the attack on the Media Protection Areas they want to achieve the goal that they could not accomplish this time. It is only in their hands this year. This year is the last year for this government. If they succeed in these attacks against us, against the Kurdish people, they will remain in power. But if they do not succeed, they will disappear. So this situation is for them man and neman.
This is especially true for Erdogan and Bahçeli. Do what they can to be able to succeed. If they succeed, they will not only eliminate the PKK, but also destroy the achievements of the Kurdish people. There will be a great danger for the Kurdish people and a policy of genocide will prevail in Kurdistan. So we said for both sides it is a war of man and man. The war being fought in Zap, in Avaşin is a national war, a war that determines the future of our people and the people of the region. If the enemy wins against us, the policy of fascism and genocide will prevail in Kurdistan, and a dark process will begin in the region.
THEY HID SECRET PROMISES TO THEIR COOPERATIVE KURDS
What is the difference between the recent attack of the Turkish state and the previous attacks? What tactics are used in the attacks?
The recent occupation operation has its differences in many respects. The enemy launched an attack on us with the same aim last year, but stopped. This year they have made some changes and thus want to achieve the result. The enemy has been using even more technique in the recent operation and is preparing to receive even stronger support from outside forces. Most importantly, the Kurdish line of cooperation has become more active. In this context some meetings were held with the PDK in order to be able to attack from the Southern line, some secret promises were made to the PDK. The PDK also began preparations for the enemy. The enemy calculated that the guerrillas would surround Zap and win.
GANGS INCLUDE MANE AND GUARDS BECAUSE OF DAÎŞ
The Kurdish line of cooperation is not only active in the South, but also in the North. The village guards in Kurdistan gather everyone and take part in the operation. The remaining ISIS gangs in Syria, especially those from Turkmenistan, are also involved in the operation. They want to achieve the result with advanced technology, in cooperation with the Kurds, especially with the use of chemical weapons. Last year they attacked with these methods, but this year they want to benefit even more from the Kurdish cooperation line. They also take it into account to start a war among the Kurds. In this context they want to achieve the result.
THE GUERRILLA INTERVENTION HAS BEEN TAKEN INTO THE PLANS OF THE ENEMY
It is said that the enemy attacks started on April 17th, but basically started on April 14th. The attack began on April 14 with planes, howitzers and mortars. Then on the evening of April 17 at 8:30 a.m. he suddenly asked to land troops by helicopter at Zap and several other areas. Wanted to deploy troops in 9-10 places at once and surprise the guerrillas. Taking advantage of this situation wanted to occupy the area. That is to say it was planned to be located in these areas within a day. But those against them were the sacrificed guerrillas of Kurdistan. In Zap and Avaşin, the guerrillas sacrificed and knowingly attacked the enemy, which is commendable. Friends showed great bravery. The comrades captured each other for 5-6 days in a row in any area where the enemy wanted to place their troops but first and fought side by side against the enemy. If friends did not start at the right time and place, djimin could have reached some strategic locations and succeeded. But the attention of the comrades and the response with sacrifice, bravery and courage in the attacks prevented the plans of the enemy.
A VERY GREAT WAR IS BEING DONE
The enemy could not place their troops in many areas. True, put in some areas but it was also able to do after 5-6 days and is now closed there. For example, the troops stationed at Kurojahro are now in a very difficult situation. The enemy wanted to save their troops from the ground from Sheladiz. There were also many casualties. A very big battle is being fought. The enemy attacked with planes, helicopters, obus and all kinds of weapons from the air and ground. They also came from the North by land. In this way they wanted to shock their friends and take advantage of the confusion. But our brave comrades with great will, courage responded to the attacks and defeated the enemy. The guerrillas of the freedom of Kurdistan have shown a great victory in this war that we have left behind for 15 days.
So through you, I wholeheartedly salute the sacrifices made in the states of Zap and Avaşin, and congratulate all of you on your resilience. Our people should also celebrate these heroes. Because the first took a very big risk and did not let the enemy achieve the result.
We respectfully remember our martyrs who bravely stood up and were martyred in this resistance and we promise once again that their blood will not remain on earth. We will have to go out in their memory and take revenge on them. We will make the Zap area a fortress of resistance and victory. In this way we will take revenge on them from the enemy.
ERDOANAN SAYS HUNDREDS OF MILITARY DEATH BEFORE HIS EYES
The enemy has so far been unable to enter the positions, the statements of the false war minister of the Turkish state are not true. Many killed. According to the number revealed by our friends and as far as we are following around 300 of them have been killed. It is clear that Erdo Erdoganan and Bahçeli witnessed the deaths of hundreds, thousands of soldiers. For example, wanting to lay down their troops but unable to lay down, helicopters return. After 1.5-2 hours of trying to deploy their troops, the comrades grabbed them and did not let go. Soldiers are left in the middle because they can not even return to their bases. That is to say tell the soldiers, either to die, or to take their place. There is no going back for them.
TO COVER THEIR DIRTINESS …
The children of the Turkish people – including obviously Kurdish children – are dying for their own interests. In order to maintain their power, in order to suppress their corruption, the children of the people are dying. They go out in front of the screen and lie to people. So far it is clear that only 10 deaths have been reported, but this is not the case. Many killed. They do not say a single true word to the people of Turkey. A very serious war is being fought and many people have been killed in this war. So they started using chemical weapons again.
A NATIONAL WAR IS BEING DONE
The enemy is now closed, but the bar of friends is not light either. We must also support our heroes everywhere in Zap. Our people, all our friends, all in the provinces of Kurdistan, everyone must rise to their role. A national war is being waged, so everyone should do everything.
Our friends were martyred in this war. We do not disclose information about the identities of our martyrs, but we still have martyrs whose names and identities we have not been able to clarify. We will reveal the names of all our martyred comrades, let there be no doubt of our people in this matter. We never hide our losses. We are in a big war and in this war our people in particular need the whole world to see how we pay the price. That is why we do not hide our losses. Our martyrs are an honor to us. We are waging a great war against such an enemy as this enemy receives support from international forces and fights with weapons of the latest technology. This task is not easy, of course we have martyrs. Next time we will reveal information about the identities of our other martyred comrades.
How did the guerrilla tactics change in the face of these attacks? How does the guerrilla resist such a large attack and how does it succeed?
The freedom fighters of Kurdistan have reached a depth in the art of war. If it were not for this, no one would have been able to withstand such severe attacks. The guerrillas who acted with the ideology and philosophy of Leader Apo, resisted with great faith and courage. Of course war is not fought only with courage, faith and will. There is also depth in martial arts, richness in tactics. Friends have made progress in this regard. Fight with expert and professional methods. Last year’s experiences were especially important to us. During the war in 2020, Haftanin and last year in Avaşin, Zap, Metina, Zendura, Mamreşo, Girêsor, Werxel gained a lot of experience in the war. Our comrades reached a level as a result of these experiments and thus resisted the enemy.
NOW CHEMICALS ARE USED
The methods and tactics of our comrades in guerrilla warfare have created many innovations in the world. The guerrillas are not only creating examples and tactics for Kurdistan but for the whole world. That is, the war is not fought unilaterally. It is carried out with rich tactics and methods, with faith, will and determination. Because they all complement each other the guerrillas can withstand these barbaric attacks. The enemy is now using chemical weapons. Of course if she did not use chemical weapons she would have failed instantly against the guerrillas. People were forced to flee where the chemical was used. The army could not stay there either. But chemical weapons are also not a solution for the enemy now. Of course we have to stand up to this, this is not a human thing, but it has created a performance against the enemy among the freedom fighters. Reached a level. This is an honor for all Kurds. Against an army that defines itself as NATO’s second largest army, such resistance is nothing out of the ordinary.
BELIEVE IN THE TECHNIQUE AND LINE OF COOPERATION OF THE KURDS
Say, the guerrilla can resist for a maximum of a few days. No, not like that. If there is a defeated force in that area, it is not the guerrillas, the occupier Turkish state, the Turkish soldiers. Guerrilla resistance, guerrilla courage, guerrilla ways and methods are the basis of success. The enemy now relies heavily on its technical strength and relies on the Kurdish line of cooperation. Unwilling to fight, the gangs mobilize the guards and join the operations. Thus wanting to achieve the result. But we are running a legitimate case against this, we are right. There is no more just cause than the Kurdish people’s demand for freedom. We fight for our existence, our language and our nation. The philosophy of Leader Apo and our martyrs are a source of strength for us. Every friend struggles with this belief. Each guerrilla fights like a lion against the enemy. There is a great deal of willpower with all friends. We also believe in our own wisdom, in our own ways and methods. We believe in our perspective of revolutionary people’s war. Fight against the enemy with this belief and determination. But the enemy wants to achieve the result through immoral means and methods. Therefore, victory will not be for the enemy, but for the freedom fighters of Kurdistan.
What is the role of guerrilla teams in action in this war?
Teams of Kurdish freedom fighters are defending and fighting by all means. The role of teams with movement is important. The activities were very successful. That is, a small force can inflict large blows on the enemy. It can strike at the heart of the enemy. The ways and means of teams moving, if no mistake is made, the team will inflict even heavier blows on the enemy. Not just one team, several teams can work together in a coordinated manner. Of course together, they can always act differently. We create new ways and means. The team method is defeated by the movement of the enemy technique. It has its own important role to play in this.
The bar of friends is very heavy, we are aware of this. But friends need to know how to play a historical role. So act patiently, plan, wisely. Go deeper into the subject of ways and means that were built with the blood of martyrs. Friends can defeat the enemy strategy on this basis, the strategy of the revolution.
