BEHDINAN – The KCK Executive Council Co-Presidency celebrated the June 1 move, one of the turning points of the Kurdistan Freedom Struggle.
The statement noted that the June 1st Operation was a historic freedom and struggle against domestic and foreign liquidationist attacks developed as a continuation of the international conspiracy, and called on everyone to stand by the “Werin Cenga Azadiyê” operation launched by the Komalen Ciwan Coordination against the occupation and genocide.
The full written statement of the co-presidency is as follows:
“We congratulate our peoples, all revolutionary and democratic forces and the resisting humanity of the June 1 move, which is one of the most important turning points of the Kurdistan freedom struggle. We commemorate all martyrs of revolution and democracy with respect and gratitude in the person of thousands of martyred comrades who successfully led the practical pioneering of the June 1st move and carried the struggle to this day, and we reiterate our promise that we will stick to the memory of the martyrs and bring their memories to victory.
The June 1 move is a historical move for freedom and struggle developed under the leadership of the guerrilla movement against internal and external liquidationist attacks developed as a continuation of the international conspiracy. The internal liquidation movement, based on international conspiratorial forces, aimed to seize and end it by diverting it from its freedom line and purpose. The June 1 move was a historic step against this. With the June 1 move, liquidationism was liquidated and the aims of the conspiratorial forces were rendered futile.
The June 1st move, with its ideological, political, social and military characteristics, strengthened the freedom stance, spirit and struggle of the Kurdish people against betrayal and surrender, and created a high level in the consciousness and organization of the democratic nation. The move also created a strong basis for the construction of the democratic, ecological and women’s libertarian paradigm developed by Leader Apo, and became the practical expression of the revolutionary people’s war. The glorious resistance that developed in Zap, Avaşîn, Metîna, Heftanîn and Xakurkê today represents the culmination of the 1 June offensive.
The guerrilla heroically resisting on the line of victory against the invasion attacks developed by the fascist Turkish state in order to complete the Kurdish genocide and realize its dreams of national pact, inflicts great blows on the enemy and inflicts defeat. We commemorate the martyrs of Zap, Avaşîn and Metîna, who carried the spirit of the June 1 move to the highest point, with great respect, love and gratitude. With our deepest comradely feelings, we greet all HPG and YJA Star commanders and fighters, who resisted with a high self-sacrificing spirit and buried Zap and Avaşîn to the enemy, and celebrate their success. In this war, the genocidal colonialist Turkish state and its collaborators will lose, and the guerrilla and popular resistance will win.
GUERILLA RESISTANCE FRUSTETED THE TURKISH STATE’S PLANS
The genocidal colonialist Turkish state aimed to completely occupy Bashure Kurdistan by breaking the guerrilla resistance in a short time. Fedai guerrilla resistance spoiled the plans of the fascist invading Turkish state. The Kurdistan freedom guerrilla is displaying a great resistance not only against the most advanced technology of the age, but also against the chemical weapons that fall under the scope of war and crimes against humanity, and is writing a new history of resistance. The Kurdistan freedom guerrilla fighting with an apoist self-sacrificing spirit has once again proved that it is invincible and will defend Kurdistan and the Kurdish people against the enemy’s attacks and invasion under all circumstances.
The guerrilla carries out successful actions with high strike power wherever the enemy tries to take positions and inflicts dozens of casualties on the invading Turkish army every day. The Turkish state and AKP-MHP fascism are hiding the truth from the public, as they put all their hopes in the war against the Kurds in order to survive.
SHOWING NO REFLEX IS PARTICIPATING IN CRIME
Since the Turkish state is unsuccessful against the guerrilla, it commits war crimes and uses chemical weapons. Using chemical weapons is a crime against humanity and war. We call on all forces and institutions that have signed the international conventions prohibiting chemical weapons, especially the United Nations, to break their silence and take a stand against the genocidal Turkish state. To be unresponsive to the use of chemical weapons is to be a partner in a crime against humanity.
We call on our people, friends and progressive humanity to carry out the Turkish state’s fight against these crimes against humanity more strongly.
DEMOGRAPHY CHANGE IS THE WILDEST FORM OF GENOCIDE
The Turkish state and AKP-MHP fascism have an anti-Kurdish mentality. Their targets are not only the guerrilla and the Kurdish freedom movement. Since the Kurdish freedom movement stands against the genocide, the Turkish state directs its attacks to the freedom movement. The Turkish state is an enemy of the Kurds and its main aim is to eliminate the Kurdish existence. For this purpose, it attacks Kurds everywhere, slaughters the Kurds, and changes the demographics in the homeland of the Kurds, as in Rojava. Changing demographics is the most brutal form of genocide of our time. The Turkish state is forcing every power and institution with which it is in contact, especially the USA and Europe, to partner with and support the Kurdish genocide. We invite these forces not to be a partner in the genocidal attacks of the Turkish state and to stand by the Kurdish people who are waging the most just and legitimate struggle in the world.
CALL AYDIN, AUTHORS AND ARTISTS
All peoples, especially the patriotic people of Kurdistan, our friends and democratic sectors should be in a struggle against the Kurdish hostility of the genocidal colonialist Turkish state and AKP-MHP fascism. Just as the guerrilla is resisting and fighting against the enemy, everyone should raise the struggle against AKP-MHP fascism wherever they are.
Aydın, writers and artists have responsibilities towards society. Intellectuals, writers and artists need to protect their historical duties more and lead the society in the face of a total attack against the Kurdish existence. The progressive intellectuals of the society should take the initiative and take action. They should stand by the guerrilla and the people resisting occupation and betrayal, especially in the face of the use of chemical weapons, and lead this struggle.
TO GROW THE MOVE WITH THE SPIRIT OF APOCU YOUTH
We find the WERIN CENGA AZADIYÊ move, initiated by the Komalên Ciwan Coordination against the occupation and genocide, very meaningful and we state that we stand by this move. We invite everyone, especially the patriotic Kurdish youth, to join the movement initiated by the youth. The guerrilla resists and struggles with the spirit of youth. The patriotic people and youth of Kurdistan should increase the struggle with the spirit of Apoist youth everywhere.
The genocidal, colonialist Turkish state and its collaborators will lose, victory will belong to women, peoples and progressive humanity whose hearts beat with the fire of freedom, resisting with the spirit of June 1.”
