NEWS CENTER – After Riseup4Rojava has called to take soli pictures to support the guerrilla resistance and to condemn the war of aggression of the fascist AKP-MHP government, photos from different parts of the world are published every day. In addition, in the various statements and interviews of the PKK, KCK, the statements of Duran Kalkan, Murat Karayilan and Cemil Bayik, the youth all over the world were called to stand up for the guerrilla of freedom of Kurdistan and to put an end to fascism everywhere they are. In addition, in the framework of the May 01 preparations, mobilizations were made under the slogan “Defend Rojava”.
Motivated by these calls and declarations, there were some activities in different parts of the world, which are a first step, but still need to be expanded. The following overview gives a rough overview, but does not claim to be complete. Some actions have already been reported sporadically and have not been listed here.
AUSTRIA
During the May 01 demonstration in Vienna, in Austria, which took place through the various leftist groups and the student associations YXK and JXK, there was a publicity-raising greeting by some activists who, while the demonstration was passing by, placed on a balcony a banner with the inscription: “Defend hope. Long live the revolution in Kurdistan. Bijî Berxwedana Gerîla!”, calling on the public to support the heroic resistance of the guerrillas who are defending the freedom and democracy of all humanity in Kurdistan at the risk of their lives.
It’s been a while since this motivated message of greeting already came from Vienna, in which the internationalist youth made it clear: “We stand behind the guerrillas!”
SWITZERLAND
In Geneva, the internationalist youth drew attention to the resistance of the guerrillas against the Turkish occupying army with a banner “Bijî Gerîla” and showed their solidarity.

GERMANY
In Berlin, the anti-fascist and internationalist forces together with the activists of the revolutionary youth movement showed their solidarity with the Kurdish freedom struggle at the revolutionary May 1st demonstration.
In Frankfurt, despite repression and bans by the police, the red flag of the freedom movement was held high in the midst of the May 01 demonstration:
The Interventionist Left also came together for a solo photo and posted it on their Twitter account with the following words: “Stop Erdogan’s war in Kurdistan! Defend the social revolution in Rojava! Biji berxwedana YPG û YPJ! #UniteInResistance #Riseup4Rojava”

BASQUE COUNTRY
In Bilbao, the following banners were hung in crowded public places, drawing attention to the solidarity of the Basque people with the struggle for freedom in Kurdistan. In addition, during the commemoration of the anniversary of the bombing of the Basque city of Guernika, people drew attention to the current bombing in Kurdistan, waving the red flag of the freedom movement.
FRANCE
“The Gerila in ZAP and the workers on the streets around the world: The resistance is one!”
On 1st of May in Paris, on a broad spectrum of Organisations, from Unions like CNT, over political Parties like the NPA and TKIP, to Antifascist and Anti-racist alliances all showed their solidarity with the resistance

ITALY
A message of solidarity also came from the Italian city of Torino who wrote on their posters “Smash Turkish facism! Bijî Guerrilla!” and “Solidarieta rivoluzionaria con il Rojava!”
