NEWS CENTER – The Children of Fire Initiative, in a written statement with accompanying video, claimed responsibility for actions in four different Turkish cities that they committed in revenge for Aysel Doğan, who fell on May 11 due to a serious cancer illness and whose funeral in Dersim was attacked by occupying police officers.
The initiative’s statement said:
“Turkish fascism does not even stop at our funerals with its torture, immorality and disrespect, it considers all kinds of deaths for the Kurds and kidnaps our bodies. What happened today with Aysel Doğan’s funeral, Seyid Rıza was not only killed but also his body was confiscated, is the same anti-Kurdish hostility as in history. As Seyit Rıza’s grandchildren, we will continue to burn your Turkish cities with a flood of fire for any disrespect you do to our funerals. We have lit a fire of revenge for Aysel Doğan in 4 Turkish cities.”
The statement goes on to say:
“We will continue to take revenge for every Kurd you have killed, persecuted and insulted. We call on all honorable Kurds to hold the enemy accountable in Turkish cities.”
