BEHDÎNAN – The HPG Press Liaison Center released the following statement:
“The Kurdistan Freedom Guerrilla, led by our YJA Star forces, carried out effective actions to salute the 18th anniversary of the historic June 1st Movement. As a result of these actions; 47 invaders were punished, 8 invaders were wounded and 2 helicopters were hit.
The details of the actions carried out are as follows;
IN AVASHÎN REGION;
- On May 30, 09:25, the invaders who wanted to bomb Werxelê Resistance Area with chemical weapons and explosives were targeted and hit by our forces with heavy weapons. As a result of the intervention, the invaders retreated one level.
ZAP REGION;
Within the framework of the Martyr War Maraş Revolutionary Move,
- On May 29, between 09:00-10:00, the Skorsky helicopters that wanted to land in the Şehîd Leşker area of Girê Cûdî Resistance Area were targeted and shot by our forces from two sides. The 2 helicopters, which were heavily hit, had to leave the area without being able to land.
- On May 29, at 14:00, the invaders around Girê Şehîd Nalîn area of Girê FM Resistance Area were targeted and shot by our YJA Star forces with assassination tactics and 1 invader was punished.
- On May 30, the invaders who wanted to advance towards Şehîd Savuşka throat of Girê Cûdî Resistance Area were shot by our forces. After the intervention, the invaders scattered in the field in panic.
Within the framework of the Bazên Zagrosê Revolutionary Move,
- On May 29, in the morning hours, the officers of the occupying Turkish army wanted to send a group of invaders to the Shahid Berxwedan fighting positions of the Shahid Shahîn Resistance Area. Our forces observed that the occupying soldiers did not want to advance and argued with the officers. The occupying officers then sent a group of 4 people towards the fighting positions. These invaders were taken under control by our forces around the battle positions and shot with sabotage tactics. During the explosion, 2 invaders fell from the cliff. The other two invaders were punished by our forces by shooting them with individual weapons and grenades. Our forces went over the bodies of the invaders and took them under control. In this action, a total of 4 invaders were punished and military equipment and weapons belonging to the invaders were destroyed. The bodies of 2 invaders are under the control of our forces. The invaders who wanted to move in the evening were shot again by our forces and the invaders could not advance.
- On May 29, the invaders who wanted to advance towards the fighting positions in Karker Resistance Area were taken under control by our YJA Star forces and shot 10 times with sabotage tactics. It has been clarified that at least 6 invaders were punished during this series of actions carried out by our YJA Star forces.
- On the same day at 07:30 and 07:40, the invaders around the battle positions were effectively shot twice with grenades and individual weapons. As a result of these actions, 3 invaders were punished and 1 invader was wounded. At 08:20, the invaders who wanted to advance towards the fighting positions were shot with individual weapons from two sides after they were taken under control and 4 invaders were punished. At 09:40 and 10:30, the invaders who gathered around the fighting positions were shot by our forces with grenades and individual weapons at close range and 4 more invaders were punished.
- At 15:00, the occupying Turkish soldiers tried to attack the fighting positions with explosives. As a result of the intervention of our forces, the invaders retreated one level. At 19:00, the invaders who wanted to attack the battle positions again with chemical weapons and explosives were shot by our YJA Star forces first with sabotage and then with individual weapons. In this action where 2 invaders were punished, the invaders fled leaving the explosives they brought with them.
- On the same day, between 08:50-19:05, the invaders around the fighting positions of Karker Resistance Area were targeted by our YJA Star forces 10 times with assassination tactics. As a result of these actions, 6 invaders were punished and 4 invaders were wounded.
- As a result of this series of actions carried out in Karker Resistance Area under the leadership of our YJA Star forces, a total of 25 invaders were punished and 5 invaders were wounded.
- On May 29, the invaders who wanted to position themselves around the Girê Cehennem fighting positions in Çiyareş Resistance Area were shot by our forces with individual weapons and grenades. After the intervention of our forces, the invaders retreated one level.
- On May 29, between 07:00 – 08:00, the invaders who wanted to bombard the Girê Berxwedan fighting positions of Şehîd Şahîn Resistance Area with chemical weapons and explosives were targeted by our forces with heavy weapons. After the interventions, the invaders were forced to retreat one level.
- On May 30, between 04:50 – 06:15, 2 invaders around the fighting positions of Karker Resistance Area were targeted and punished by our YJA Star forces with assassination tactics.
IN THE METÎNA REGION;
Within the scope of the Cenga Xabûr Revolutionary Movement,
- On May 29 at 11:00 am, the invaders moving between Girê Şehîd Zemanî and Şehîd Akîf areas in Girê Hakkarî Resistance Area were targeted and shot by our forces with individual weapons. As a result of this action, 2 invaders were punished.
- On May 29 at 13:00, the invaders around the Girê Şehîd Zemanî battle positions in Girê Hakkarî Resistance Area were targeted and shot by our forces from two arms. As a result of this action, 2 invaders were punished and 1 invader was wounded.
- On May 29, the invaders who wanted to advance towards the Girê Şehîd Zemanî battle positions in Girê Hakkarî Resistance Area were pursued by our forces. The invaders, who were taken under control, were shot at close range with grenades and individual weapons simultaneously from two columns by our semi-mobile teams at 17:30. As a result of this effective action carried out by our forces with lightning speed; It was clarified by our forces that 11 invaders were punished and 2 invaders were wounded. At 19:30, the invaders who wanted to advance were again targeted by our forces from two columns. The invaders, who were effectively shot, had to retreat one level. The bodies of the punished invaders remained under the control of our forces until late at night.
1 GUERRILLA MARTYRED
During this effective action carried out by our forces with a high Apoist, militant attack spirit, our comrade Siyabend, who advanced at the forefront and struck the first blow to the invaders and went over the bodies of 9 invaders, joined our immortal heroes. The detailed identity information of our comrade Siyanbend, who made great efforts for the success of the action and created victory by leading his comrades, will be shared with the public later.
CHEMICAL AND EXPLOSIVE ATTACKS
Attacks carried out by the occupying Turkish army with chemical weapons and explosives;
- On May 29, Şikefta Birîndara, Girê Şehîd Berxwedan and Girê Cehennem areas in Zap region and Werxelê Resistance Area in Avaşîn were bombed 27 times with chemical weapons and explosives.
HELICOPTER, AIRPLANE AND HOWITZER ATTACKS
Attacks carried out by the occupying Turkish army with howitzers, attack helicopters and warplanes;
- On May 29, Girê Cûdî, Girê FM, Girê Amediye, Şikefta Birîndara, Karker, Çiyareş, Girê Cehennem, Şehîd Şahîn, Girê Rûbar, Saca, Çemço and Rênçbir Axa areas of the Zap region were bombed hundreds of times by attack helicopters and howitzers fired from the outposts on the border line and 43 times by warplanes.
- On May 29, Girê Ortê, Girê Şehîd Zemanî, Girê Şehîd Merwan and Kanî Botkê areas in Metîna region were shelled by howitzers fired from outposts on the border line and 13 times by warplanes.
- On May 29, Werxelê Resistance Area in Avaşîn region was bombed 4 times by warplanes.
- On May 29, the area around Şikeftiyan village in Garê region was bombed by warplanes.”
