BEHDINAN – HPG Press Center said, “The invading Turkish army, which crashed in the east of Zap Suyu and could not get the desired result, received heavy blows as a result of the Revolutionary Revenge Operations carried out by our forces on 24 May. The Turkish army increased its attacks based on chemical weapons and warfare techniques and expanded the invasion operation on the night of May 25. Girê Cûdî, located to the west of Zap Stream, landed the invaders with helicopters in Girê FM areas and Girê Hakkarî area in the Metîna region. Thus, he wanted to carry the invasion operation, which he failed to achieve in the first stage, to a different stage with a new wave of attacks. In the last three days; Attacks were carried out thousands of times with howitzers, 118 times with warplanes, 52 times with chemical weapons and explosives, and attack helicopters against the Resistance Areas. However, as a result of the actions developed by our forces; “13 invaders were punished, 1 drone and 1 position were destroyed, 1 attack helicopter, 3 Sikorsky helicopters and 1 position were also hit,” he said.
The details of the actions taken are as follows:
IN THE AVAŞIN REGION;
- On May 23, at 09:30, the invaders around the Girê Werxelê battle positions in the Werxelê Resistance Area were targeted and shot down by our forces. As a result of the action, 1 targeted position was destroyed.
- On May 24, at 14:20, the invaders who wanted to bombard the battle positions in the Werxelê Resistance Area with chemical weapons and explosives were targeted and shot by our forces. As a result of the intervention of our forces, the invaders had to retreat one step. On the same day, at 17:30, the invaders around the battle positions were targeted and shot again by our forces and 1 invader was punished. After the actions carried out by our forces, the invading Turkish army bombed the battle positions 4 times with chemical weapons and explosives.
- On May 25, the invading Turkish army bombed the Girê Werxelê battle positions of the Werxelê Resistance Area 11 times with chemical weapons and explosives.
IN ZAP REGION;
- At 11:00 on May 24, the invaders who wanted to advance towards the Martyr Tolhildan battle positions in the Kurojahro Resistance Area were targeted and shot by our forces, first with sabotage tactics and then with individual weapons. As a result of the intervention of our forces, intense clashes took place between the invaders and our forces. As a result of the effective intervention of our forces, the invaders had to retreat one step at noon.
- On May 24, at 07:00, the invaders around the battle positions in the Şikefta Birîndara Resistance Area were shot by our forces with individual weapons at close range. On the same day, at 07:30, two positions belonging to the invaders around the battle positions were hit by our forces. As a result of these actions, 3 invaders were punished and 1 position was hit.
- Helicopters of the invading Turkish army came under intense fire by our forces in the Şikefta Birîndara Resistance Area at night on May 24. As a result of the effective strikes of our forces, 1 attack helicopter and 1 Skorsky type helicopter were hit. After the intervention, the helicopters had to leave the area.
- Our forces intervened in attack helicopters that wanted to bombard Girê Rûbar area at 23:00 on 24 May. After the intervention of our forces, the attack helicopters had to leave the area.
- On 24 May, the war positions of Şikefta Birîndara and Martyr Berxwedan were bombed 5 times with chemical weapons and explosives.
- At 15:30 and 16:00 on May 24 and at 10:00 on May 25, the invaders around the Martyr Tolhildan battle positions of the Kurojahro Resistance Area were targeted and shot by our forces with heavy weapons.
- On May 25, at 17:30, the invaders who were around the Girê Berxwedan battle positions of the Martyr Şahin Resistance Area were targeted and shot by our forces with the assassination tactic, and 1 invader who used an A-4 weapon was punished.
- On May 25, at 09:00, the invading Turkish army wanted to advance at 11:30 after bombarding the Martyr Tolhildan war positions of the Kurojahro Resistance Area 6 times with chemical weapons and explosives. The invaders were hit by our forces first with sabotage tactics and then with individual weapons and grenades. During the intense work, 3 invaders were punished and the invaders who could not advance had to retreat one step.
- On May 25, at 16:30, the invaders in the Girê Hell area of the Çiyareş Resistance Area were targeted and shot by our forces with the sabotage tactic, and 1 invader was punished.
- On May 25, at 06:30, an explosive-laden drone flown over the Şikeftan Birîndara Resistance Area was shot down and destroyed by our forces.
- On May 25, at 14:00, the invaders who wanted to bomb the Girê Martyr Şahin Resistance Area with explosives were targeted and shot by our forces with heavy weapons. As a result of the intervention of our forces, the invaders had to retreat one step.
- On May 25, the invading Turkish army bombed Martyr Berxwedan and Şikefta Birîndara 26 times with chemical weapons and explosives.
- On May 25, from 20:00 to 00:00, the Girê Cûdî area in the Zap region was bombed 14 times with warplanes. At 22:00, the Martyr Lashker area of the Girê Cûdî Resistance Area and the Martyr Sîpan area of the Girê FM Resistance Area were bombed with attack helicopters. Attack helicopters that bombed the Girê Cûdî Resistance Area at 23:00 were targeted and shot down by our forces. Our forces intervened when the invaders were trying to land on Girê Cûdî with 13 Skorsky helicopters at 23:10. While 11 helicopter landings were made on Girê Cûdî, 2 Skorsky helicopters were not able to land the invaders as a result of the intervention of our forces and had to leave the area. In the morning hours of May 26, the invaders in the Martyr Lashker area were hit with an assassination tactic.
- On May 25, from 20:00 to 20:30, the Girê FM Resistance Area was bombed 5 times by warplanes and 5 times by Girê Bahar warplanes from 21:00 to 21:30.
- On May 26, at 03:30, two groups of invaders were taken under control in the Martyr Sîpan land of the Girê FM Resistance Area. Both groups of invaders speaking Kurdish to each other were targeted and effectively shot down by our forces with individual weapons. There were clashes between our forces and the invaders here. Detailed information about the punished and injured invaders will be shared later.
- Girê Amediyê was bombed 10 times by warplanes from 20:00 to 22:00 on 25 May, and 4 times by warplanes from 02:00 to 03:00 on 26 May. Drone activity took place over Girê Amiye until the morning hours.
IN METINA REGION;
- On May 25, the Girê Hakkarî Resistance Area in the Metîna region was bombed with howitzers fired from the police stations on the border line from 17:00 to 20:00. It was bombed 16 times with warplanes from 18:00 to 23:30. From 22:00 to 03:00, the Girê Hakkarî Resistance Area was randomly bombed with attack helicopters for hours. At 01:50, an invader was landed 10 times by Sikorsky helicopters on Martyr Hejar in the Girê Hakkarî Resistance Area. The invaders who wanted to settle around the Martyr Hêjar battle positions were targeted and hit twice with sabotage tactics. In these actions, 3 invaders were punished.
- On May 26, at 04:55, the invaders in the Girê Hakkarî Resistance Area were targeted and shot with heavy weapons, and it became clear that one invader was punished. At 05:00, a group of invaders were targeted and shot with individual weapons. Clashes between our forces and the invaders continue.
- From 18:00 to 18:20 on May 25, the lands of Êdinê and Seraro villages in the Metîna region were bombarded with howitzers. Between 21:00 and 23:00, the land of Şêlazê village and the land of Girê Martyr Piling were bombed 6 times with warplanes. From 22:00 to 22:40, there was a helicopter movement in the Qashura area and invaders were landed on the Koordine land once with Sikorsky helicopters.
AIR AND LAND ATTACKS
- On 24 May, Çiyareş, Martyr Şemdîn, Kurojahro, Martyr Dîdar, Karker, Saca, Girê Cûdî, Girê Bahar, Girê Amediye and Girê FM areas were bombed by attack helicopters, howitzers fired from police stations on the border line, and warplanes 23 times.
- On May 24, the Girê Ortê, Girê Martyr Agir, Girê Azad and Girê Hakkarî areas in the Metîna region were bombed with howitzers fired from the police stations on the border line and 9 times with warplanes.
- On 24 May, the Werxelê Resistance Area in Avaşîn region was bombed 7 times with warplanes.
- On May 25, the areas of Çemço, Kela Çemço, Sîda, Çiyareş, Karker, Şikefta Birîndara, Girê Rûbar, Şehîd Tolhildan, Martyr Şahin and Martyr Berxwedan in the Zap region were bombed by attack helicopters, howitzers fired from the police stations on the border line and 19 times with warplanes.
- On May 25, the invading Turkish army bombed the Girê Şekîf slopes of the Xakurkê region and the Geliyê Lolan area with howitzers and mortars fired from the outposts on the border line.”
