BEHDINAN – The statement of the HPG Press and Information Center is as follows
“Our forces on the border have taken strong action against the occupiers in the winter. The private war media of the Turkish state did not want to cover the activities of the guerrillas for the freedom of Kurdistan in the North and did not report this activity to the public.
Our forces have provided new information due to the winter conditions and based on this information, actions have been taken in the border province.
On 19 November 2021, our forces found a secret unit of the occupiers in the Demirkapi area of the Gildax region, and after taking control of this unit, on 19 November at 15:30, our guerrilla teams arrived at the area. Here 3 invaders were punished, 2 invaders were also injured. The invaders then evacuated the dead and wounded from the area with Skorsky armored vehicles and helicopters.
On 13 February 2022, the occupier Turkish army launched an reconnaissance operation in Gildax in the Demirkap herêma region. On 20 February between 08.00-09.30 hours the place where our forces use as a point in this area was bombed 5 times by war planes. The same day, with the help of attack helicopters, 25 invaders brought Skorsky-type helicopters to the area, brought armored vehicles to the area and surrounded them from three sides. On the 25th of February the invaders also marched for a mile and a half with buckets, dozers and large vehicles and reached a point which our forces had already used. Our YJA Star forces used sabotage tactics with 15 different ambushes at the same time attacking the invaders who wanted to enter this old point. More than 10 invaders were punished here. Our forces did not suffer any casualties in this action of the Turkish state that lasted for days.
Based on the false information provided by the Turkish Ministry of Interior to the Turkish special warfare media, 11 of our comrades were martyred on 9 May 2022 in Gildax. The private war media has presented a six-hero scenario. However, with the information provided by our forces in the Serhat region, it is understood that our forces are strong in their positions, we have not suffered any casualties in this operation, on the contrary, heavy blows have been inflicted on the occupiers and this scenario of the Turkish state the basis of lies, has been debunked. It was clear that this operation, which lasted for months, was completely fruitless and hundreds of invaders, construction equipment, trucks, armored vehicles, helicopters, warplanes and reconnaissance planes were destroyed. “This incident once again proves how much the Kurdistan Freedom Guerrilla’s fear has frightened the occupiers.”
