BEHDÎNAN – The press center of the HPG has informed in a written statement about the clashes in the guerrilla resistance areas, Zap and Xakurkê against the invasion operation of the Turkish occupation army and its supporters KDP.
The written statement of the press center of the People’s Defense Forces said:
“The Kurdistan Freedom Guerrilla continues to inflict heavy blows on the invasion operation of the Turkish colonial state. The Turkish occupation army, which has not been able to penetrate the area, is intensively using chemical weapons and explosives against the resistance areas. On May 10, 11 and 12, the resistance areas were bombed 27 times with chemical weapons, 36 times with fighter planes and helicopters and hundreds of times with howitzers. Despite all the despicable methods used by the Turkish occupying state as a result of the effective actions of our forces; 6 occupiers were punished, 3 occupiers were injured, 1 Skorsky type helicopter was shot down and 1 gunship was hit. These effective actions demonstrated once again the ability of our guerrillas, equipped with the apoist spirit of self-sacrifice, the hawks they strike.”
The details of the actions taken are as follows;
IN THE ZAP REGION;
On May 11, at 9:30 p.m., the Turkish occupying state wanted to land in the fighting positions in the Girê-Şehid-Şahîn resistance area with Skorsky type helicopters after intensively bombing the war positions with gunships. After these helicopters were noticed by our forces, they were targeted and heavily fired upon. As a result of the effective hits by our forces, a Skorsky-type helicopter was hit heavily and crashed in the Kûnîşka area while trying to get out of the area. A large explosion occurred in the area where the helicopter crashed. As a result of this action 1 Skorsky helicopter was destroyed and the occupants were punished. The area where the Skorsky helicopter had crashed was then heavily bombed by the Turkish army.
The attack helicopters that tried to bomb the battle positions in Girê Rûbar at 22:30 on May 11 were the target of our forces. As a result of effective hits, 1 attack helicopter was hit. As a result of the intervention of our forces, the gunship had to leave the area.
Our forces targeted the attack helicopter on May 11 at 11:30 p.m., which wanted to bomb the fighting positions of Çiyareş Resistance Area and Girê Cehennem. As a result of the effective intervention of our forces, gunships had to leave the area. On the same day, attack helicopters bombed the area at night.
Our forces intervened between 23:00 and 00:00 on May 11 with attack helicopters flying over the Mahîr Mîrzo area and bombing the Çemço area. On the same day, attack helicopters that wanted to bomb the fighting positions in the resistance areas of Şikefta Birîndara and Karker were attacked three times by our forces. As a result of the hits of our forces, combat helicopters had to leave the area.
6 INVADERS PUNISHED IN XAKURKÊ
In our statement of May 9; We shared the information that our YJA Star forces carried out a successful action against the invaders in Girê Şehid Derwêş in Xakurke region on May 06 at 16:20. In this action, it was found that 6 occupiers were punished and 3 occupiers were injured.
ATTACKS CONTINUE
The Turkish occupation army continues its extensive attacks on Medya defense areas. The details of the attacks, in which fighter jets and attack helicopters were used extensively, are as follows:
From May 10 to May 11, the Werxelê resistance area in Avaşîn and Girê Şehid Berxwedan in the Girê Şehid Şahin resistance area in Zap were bombed 27 times with chemical weapons and explosives.
On May 11 and 12, the Çemço and Sîda areas in Zap region were bombed with attack helicopters. On the same days, the resistance areas of Karker and Şikefta Birîndara were bombed hundreds of times with mortars, howitzers and 21 times with combat aircraft.
Between May 11 and 12, the Girê Cûdî and Girê Amiye areas in the Zap region were bombed dozens of times with howitzers fired from police stations on the border line and five times with fighter jets.
On May 10 and 11, the Girê Hakkarî and Girê Ortê areas in the Metîna region were bombed five times with fighter jets. There was bombardment on May 11 with howitzers fired from police stations on the Girê Hakkarî border line.
Between 20:40 and 23:00 on May 11, the Werxelê resistance area in the Avaşîn region was bombed five times by attack helicopters.
On May 11, between 21:00 and 00:30, the Kurojahro, Şehid Şemdîn, Şehid Harun, Çiyareş, Girê Şehid Cûdî and Girê Ortê areas were bombed by attack helicopters and howitzers fired from police stations on the border line.”
