BEHDİNAN – HPG Press Center shared the following information regarding the guerrillas martyred by the invading Turkish state with chemical weapons:
“The Kurdistan Freedom Guerrillas, who responded with the most honorable resistance in history against the attacks launched by the invading Turkish army in April, did not let the invaders pass. The invaders, who could not get any results against the resistance of our comrades who fought valiantly and selflessly in the struggle for existence and freedom of our people, again used chemical weapons in a cowardly and despicable manner, and undermined that they could break the steel will of our comrades. But the Kurdistan Freedom Guerrillas, equipped with an Apoist consciousness to every cell, insisted on resisting at all costs. Our comrades Rohat, Şevîn, Şerda, Xemgîn, Zilan, Deniz, Demhat and Sema were martyred in the chemical weapons attacks carried out in Zap’s Çiyareş Resistance Area. Our comrades, who fought under the command of Comrades Rohat and Şevin, will always lead our struggle as symbolic militants of the Zap resistance and will be the name of the insistence on Free Kurdishness.

ROHAT DENGDAR
Our comrade Rohat Dengdar was born in a patriotic family in the Çelê district of Colemêrg. Comrade Rohat, who grew up under the military siege, oppression and persecution of the colonial Turkish state in Çelê, has known the reality of the enemy since childhood. Comrade Rohat, who also knows the Kurdistan Freedom Struggle closely, had great sympathy for the guerrilla. His martyred uncle Dengdar decided to follow in the footsteps of our comrade. He witnessed that the Turkish state tried to corrupt Kurdish youth by using drugs, not only by committing physical genocide but also cultural genocide. He joined the guerrilla ranks in 2013, claiming to liberate Kurdistan and our Leader, in response to the immoral fascist Turkish regime. Our comrade Rohat, who stepped into guerrillaism in Avaşîn, adapted to guerrilla life early and learned the basic principles of guerrilla life. In 2014, when the genocidal attack against our Yazidi people in Shengal by the hand of ISIS took place, he took his weapon and went to Shengal. He bravely fought against ISIS gangs in Shengal, took part in the actions and gained a great war experience. He becomes one of the brave Apoist militants who have a share in the defeat of ISIS and the liberation of Shengal. Proud of fulfilling his historical responsibility as an Apoist militant, he transferred the flag of struggle in Shengal to YBŞ, the valiant youth of our Êzidî people, in 2018, and moved to Medya Defense Zones. In order to practice his military experience in the Shengal plain in the mountains of Kurdistan, he moved to the Zap area and became involved in the active war process as an HPG commander. He successfully performs many works in the field of Zap, takes part in actions that strike a blow to the invading enemy, and is loved and respected by all his friends with his humble personality and stance. He worked in the field of Zap for years and became one of the most loved commanders of Zap. He takes charge in Çiyareş as the regional commander. Our comrade Rohat considered it his duty to defend Çiareş, which is right across Çelê, the homeland of his people, tribe and family, against the invaders. However, the treacherous Turkish state attacked Çiyareş with chemical weapons and killed our comrade Rohat and 7 of our comrades under his command. Our comrade Rohat, who went down in history as one of the heroes of the people of Kurdistan with his Apoist self-deprecating stance, has become one of the brave sons of our Çelê people who will always be proud. Our comrade Şevîn was born in a patriotic family in Şemzînan, one of the important resistance and serhildan (revolts) centers of Kurdistan. The patriotic nature of her family and Şemzînan’s historical resistance against the invaders are decisive in the formation of the personality of our comrade Şevîn. Our comrade Şevîn has been aware of the genocidal policies of the enemy against our people since his childhood, and this situation caused him to grow angry with the enemy. Like every honorable Kurdish woman, she did not accept these policies of the enemy in any way and was constantly in search of struggle. Our comrade Şevîn, who embodied her pursuit of struggle by joining the guerrilla ranks during the Şemzînan Revolutionary Operation carried out in 2012 under the leadership of Martyr Reşit Serdar and Rojîn Gewda, has been in an effort to bring this struggle to the climax. She evaluated her participation in the guerrilla as a rebirth, and made an effort to equip herself in every sense in order to have a solid walk in the new life she started. In this sense, it is based on deepening the ideology of freedom, especially the Leader’s Women’s Liberation Ideology. She was aware that she could overcome the difficult conditions of the mountains only with the comradeship relations that constitute the essence of the PKK, and for this she became the owner of a simple, honest and disinterested participation. As the PKK deepened in her life, she realized thats he had met her essence and realized that she needed to embrace and protect life more. In addition to her ideological training, she has also developed herself militarily in order to respond to the enemy’s attacks against our people. She successfully completed the military training she received and started to become a commander in a short time. Comrade Şevîn, who was a guerilla in the Xakurkê area for a long time, took part in many actions against the enemy and coordinated these actions. Comrade Şevîn gained significant military experience with her successful practice in the field of Xakurkê and became one of the leading YJA Star commanders of the new era. Our comrade Şevîn, who took office at the Mahsum Korkmaz Academy in 2020, became an exemplary militant with her military and ideological stance, and made a great effort for the development of his comrades with whom he was educated. He built his main focus in the education process on the principle of being able to respond to the historical process, tried to achieve the hopes of freedom of our people and to be a true comrade of Leader Apo. Comrade Şevîn, who took on the task of regional command in the Zap area after successfully completing her education, acted with the awareness of the heavy responsibility she took. Born in Wan, one of the important centers of the Kurdistan Freedom Struggle, our comrade Şerda grew up with the resistance and rebellious character of the society she belongs to. She has never accepted the given life as it is, she has always questioned it. Our comrade Şerda, who is in search of giving meaning to life, has realized that she cannot live in the current capitalist system and its product, the Turkish system. As a conscious individual, she analyzed the slavery status of our people and understood that the enemy should fight against this policy. On this basis, she made a conscious choice and joined the guerrilla ranks in 2012. Our comrade Şerda, who was deeply affected by the guerrilla life and comradely relations, joined the PKK life with all her sincerity and sincerity. Our comrade Şerda has made a great effort to get to know the guerrilla and the PKK, which she did not know before, and to become one with the reality of the PKK. She has always tried to assimilate the ideology of the leadership and the philosophy of women’s liberation, and she has put into practice what she understands without hesitation. In this sense, our comrade Şerda, who is a consistent Apoist militant, has set an example for all her comrades with this characteristic. She also focused on self-development militarily, believed in the necessity of self-defense as a woman and was aware that the attacks against our people could only be answered by fighting the enemy. She took part in many moves in the Shengal area and contributed to the liberation of our Êzidî people from ISIS tyranny. She gained a great deal of military experience during her practice in Shengal, blending this experience with ideological and organizational dominance, she became a successful YJA Star commander. After Shengal was liberated from the gangs, she handed over her historical duty to the young women of Shengal and turned her face to the mountains of Kurdistan once again, and experienced the excitement and joy of meeting the mountains of Kurdistan, which she admired. As a YJA Star commander in the Zap field she has been in since 2019, she has duly fulfilled his pioneering duties and earned the respect of all her comrades with her self-sacrifice. She organized the resistance against all attacks, especially the enemy attacks in 2021, and proved with practice what kind of stance should be taken against enemy attacks by participating in many actions in which heavy blows were struck against the enemy. Our comrade Xemgîn was born in a patriotic family in the Qelqelî district of Wan. Our comrade Xemgîn grew up with the quintessential patriotic culture of Qelqeli, which displayed an exemplary patriotism by including hundreds of valiant children in the ranks of freedom. Our comrade Xemgîn, who sees the only solution as joining the guerrilla ranks in order to respond to our people’s expectations for freedom and believing that victory is possible through guerrilla struggle, joined the guerrilla ranks in 2015, when the enemy launched an all-out attack on our people and our Movement. Shortly after he learned the basics of guerrilla and mountain life through the first training he received, he moved to the Maxmur-Kirkuk line to defend our Bashur people against the ISIS attacks against Bashure Kurdistan. Despite being a new guerrilla, he succeeded in fulfilling his duties in the war against gangs with his courage and self-sacrifice. He fought against gang attacks on many fronts and played a great role in the protection of our people in Kirkuk and Maxmur. With the military experience he gained here, he returned to the mountains of Kurdistan in 2018 and participated in activities in the Zap region. Our comrade Xemgîn, who is based on educating himself in every moment of his life, has provided an important deepening in the ideological and military sense. He specialized in the application of the new period guerrilla and proved this with his practice. He had a unique effort by taking part in many studies in the Zap field, where he had been for a long time, and took part in many actions developed against the enemy attacks against Zap. Our comrade Zilan, originally from the city of Dêrîk in Rojava Kurdistan, was born in Hesekê. The family of our comrade Zilan has been involved in the work since the early days of our Party. This esteemed family, who has made an important contribution to the awareness of our people in Rojava and their participation in the freedom struggle, has also taken the risk of paying a great price for the development of our freedom struggle. This precious family of ours, who had many martyrs, tried to fulfil their patriotic duty by taking part in the revolutionary work with the start of the Rojava Freedom Revolution. Born and raised in such a family, our comrade Zilan took her place in the revolutionary work when the time came with the revolutionary culture she inherited from her family. In her revolutionary life, which she started at a young age, she came to the fore with his energy and enthusiasm, and she added many young people to the ranks of the revolution. She gained a sense of freedom with the excitement of our leadership from the ideology of women’s freedom, but she became aware that freedom cannot be achieved without struggle. On this basis, she first took part in the Rojava Freedom Forces for the defense of our people, and worked for the freedom and defense of our people. Later in 2016, she came to the mountains of Kurdistan, which she always dreamed of, and joined the guerrilla ranks, raising her claim to freedom even more. She fought in the guerrilla ranks without compromising her enthusiasm and passion for freedom, and with this feature, she became an exemplary Apoist militant. Our comrade Deniz was born as a member of the Kêtikî tribe in the Boxaz village of Kobanê, where the Rojava Freedom Revolution took off. Her patriotic family got to know Leader Apo closely, was in the leadership field, and educated herself on the basis of Leader Apo’s efforts to the people of Rojava. Her family, who took active responsibility in the Kurdistan Freedom Struggle and took care of his duties, raised our comrade Deniz with a culture of patriotism. Our comrade Deniz recognized the PKK’s measures of freedom of life and the struggle for the people of Kurdistan at a young age and grew up with these feelings. When the Turkish state and ISIS gangs launched an invasion attack on Kobanê in 2014, many honorable patriots from Kobanê resisted and fought to defend their lands, along with the Apoist militants. One of those who fought valiantly for Kobanê and died heroically was Ahmed Reş, the uncle of our comrade Deniz. Influenced by the martyrdom of her uncle and the struggle of the Apoists in Kobanê, our comrade Deniz joined the Kurdistan Freedom Guerrilla in 2017. After she joined, she got to know the PKK better, the line and measures of women’s freedom affected her deeply, and she made great progress with the training she received. Our comrade Deniz, who wanted to develop in the military art as well as ideological development, was educated at the military academy. As a professional guerrilla specializing in assassination tactics, she moved to the Zap field in 2020. Our comrade Deniz, who always wants to be a symbol as a free and self-sacrificing woman like Zilan and Beritans, has based on walking the line of self-sacrifice. On this basis, she undertook important duties in Zap and succeeded in putting the new era tactic into practice as a competent YJA Star militant. She was martyred with 7 of her comrades in the despicable attack developed by the treacherous Turkish state with chemical weapons in the area of Çiyareş. Our comrade Deniz, who managed to become an exemplary YJA Star militant with her participation, stance, comradeship and courage, has become one of our symbolic heroes that all women and youth of Kurdistan, especially Kobanê, will take as an example.

Our comrade Sema was born in Mişefre village of Hesekê city in Rojava Kurdistan. She grew up in a patriotic family and within the Rojava Freedom Revolution. Our comrade Sema grew up seeing and recognizing both the regime’s oppression, the brutality of the ISIS gangs, and the oppression of the invading Turkish state. It has brought to the awareness that making the Rojava Freedom Revolution permanent requires an effective self-defense preparation. She was deeply attached to the valiant heroes of the people of Kurdistan and dreamed of being like them, as there were martyrs and participation from her family. She joined the ranks of the struggle in 2019 both to realize her dreams and to strengthen the defense of Kurdistan. She adapted to the guerrilla lifestyle early and started practicing in the mountains of Kurdistan, where she came with great love and excitement. With her sharp intelligence and curious personality, she learned quickly and made progress. Especially as a Kurdish woman, she trained herself in the line of the free women’s movement and deepened in the Apoist ideology. She felt a great grudge and anger against the Turkish state, which carried out countless massacres against the Kurdish people. In order to turn this anger into revenge, she went to the Zap area and participated in the practice. Our comrade Sema, who has worked in zap practice, has won the love of all her comrades with her stance, participation and camaraderie. While he was in the Çiyareş region, which is his last place of duty, she died as a martyr together with her comrades as a result of the chemical weapons attack used by the despicable Turkish state.

Our comrade Demhat was born in the city of Kobanê, which has made its name known to the whole world with its glorious resistance, as a son of the patriotic Kêtikî tribe. He grew up in the Rojava Freedom Revolution, breathed the air of the revolution and internalized the liberating values of the Apoist revolution. The martyrdom of Comrade Axîn Ronahi, his uncle’s daughter, in the fight against ISIS gangs in 2017 has deeply affected our comrade Demhat. Like every young Rojava youth, he made it clear that he owed this revolution primarily to Leader Apo and our heroic martyrs. He realized that the way to protect the Rojava Freedom Revolution and to stop the colonialist Turkish state’s attacks on Rojava is through the struggle in the mountains. With this awareness and awareness, it has decided to join the ranks of the Kurdistan Freedom Guerrilla in 2020. It integrated with the mountains of Kurdistan early and internalized the dimensions of PKK life. He continued his guerrilla practice, which he started in Garê, by moving to Zap. He gained military experience in the Zap, improved himself by confronting the reality of the enemy himself, and gained an important level. Our comrade Demhat, who is based on professionalizing himself on the basis of the guerrilla of democratic modernity, has become a brave and valiant Apoist militant. He was loved by all his comrades and knew how to arouse respect in everyone with his mature personality. He participated in the works with great enthusiasm, enthusiasm and determination in the field of Çiyareş where he worked. He was martyred as a result of the chemical weapons attack used by the Turkish state against the Çiyareş area, cowardly and treacherously.
