BEHDINAN – HPG Press Center said, “The epic struggle and effective actions of the Kurdistan Freedom Guerrilla continue uninterruptedly. The invading Turkish army bombed the Resistance Areas 28 times with chemical weapons and explosives, 63 times with warplanes and helicopters, and hundreds of times with howitzers. As a result of the actions carried out by our forces under the leadership of YJA Star; 18 invaders were punished, 5 invaders were injured, 1 MPT 55 infantry rifle and 1 headset were confiscated,” he said.
He gave the following information about the details of the actions taken:
IN THE AVAŞIN REGION
- On May 26, at 12:20, the invaders who wanted to attack the battle positions in the Werxelê Resistance Area with explosives were targeted and shot by our forces with sabotage tactics. The occupiers on the move were targeted and shot again at 12:45 with individual weapons. The invaders who wanted to attack the battle positions were hit by our forces with sabotage tactics at 13:00 and with heavy weapons at 13:15.
- As a result of these actions carried out by our forces; at least 3 occupants were punished and 2 occupants were seriously injured. Our forces also attacked the invaders and seized 1 MPT 55 infantry rifle and 1 headset. After the actions carried out, helicopters belonging to the invaders who wanted to remove their losses from the area were brought under fire by our forces. After the intervention of our forces, the helicopters had to leave the area.
- On 26 May, the invading Turkish army bombed the Werxelê Resistance Area 11 times with chemical weapons and explosives. At the same time, the area was bombed 23 times with warplanes and attack helicopters.
IN ZAP REGION
- On May 26, at 17:00, the invaders around the Kevirêkûn battle positions of the Şikefta Birîndara Resistance Area were targeted and shot by our YJA Star forces with the assassination tactic. As a result of this action, 1 invader was punished.
- On May 26, at 15:30, the invaders around the Martyr Berxwedan battle positions of the Martyr Şahin Resistance Area were shot by our forces with an assassination tactic and 1 invader was punished.
- On May 26, at 14:50, the invaders around the battle positions in the Kurojahro Resistance Area were shot by our forces with an assassination tactic and 1 invader was punished.
- On May 26, at 16:55, the invaders around the battle positions in the Girê FM Resistance Area were targeted by our YJA Star forces with an assassination tactic and 1 invader was punished. On the same day, at 18:15, the invaders were shot again with the assassination tactic and 1 more invader was punished.
- On 26 May, the invading Turkish army bombed the Martyr Hewrê, Martyr Berxwedan and Şikefta Birîndara battle positions 13 times with chemical weapons and explosives.
IN METINA REGION
- On May 25, at 05:55, the invaders who wanted to settle around the Martyr Hêjar battle positions in the Girê Hakkarî Resistance Area were targeted and shot by our forces with sabotage tactics, individual weapons and hand grenades. As a result of these actions, 8 invaders were punished and 3 invaders were injured. On the same day, at 14:30, the invaders who wanted to advance towards the battle positions were shot again with individual weapons. As a result of the effective hits of our forces, the invaders had to retreat one step.
- On May 26, at 14:00, attack helicopters that wanted to bomb the Girê Hakkarî Resistance Area came under intense fire by our forces. As a result of the intervention of our forces, the helicopters had to leave the area.
- On May 26, the Martyr Hêjar battle positions in the Girê Hakkarî Resistance Area were bombed 4 times with chemical weapons and explosives by the invaders, including contras speaking the Behdîn dialect of Kurdish.
- On May 26, the invaders who wanted to settle in the Martyr Agir strait of Girê Ortê were targeted and shot twice by our forces with sabotage tactics. As a result of these actions, 2 invaders were punished.
ENEMY ATTACKS
- On May 26, the areas of Çemço, Saca, Çiyareş, Martyr Şemdîn, Kurojahro, Şehîd Şahin and Karker in the Zap region were bombed hundreds of times with attack helicopters, howitzers fired from police stations on the border line, and 29 times with warplanes.
- On May 26, the Xêrê and Deşta Kafya areas in the Garê region were bombed 5 times with warplanes.
- On May 26, around the villages of Êdinê and Seraro in the Metîna region, and the Girê Hakkarî, Girê Martyr Viyan and Martyr Şoreş areas were bombed with howitzers fired from the police stations on the border line. On the same day, the Girê Hakkarî and Martyr Viyan areas were bombed 6 times with warplanes.”
