NEWS CENTER – PKK Central Coordination Member Hêlîn Ûmit wrote an article about the martyr Hozan Mizgin.
The leader of the female guerrillas, the cry of the Tetwan uprising, the red star of May, Gurbet Aydin. Comrade Mizgin with her beautiful voice, a poet who has established her place in the hearts of her people. The first female commander to command the provinces of Mardin and Garzan.
She won the prize of immortality in the same place, the spirit of resistance that fought heroically in Tetwan. But the friends are not the only ones. More than that, bigger than that. She is a female hero of the Kurdistan Women’s Freedom Movement. Is the pioneering builder of women’s history.
Friend Mizgin influenced many young people with her voice, her words, her actions and her posture and led them into the struggle for freedom. The sorrowful lamentations of the Kurdish people, uttered in a happy voice, made it the home of the whole community. With this her mountainous voice became the language of our struggle for freedom. Throughout her life she represented the sect and the identity of revolutionary art. She is a legend! A heroic Kurdish woman. She is a monument of resistance. Comrade Mizgin sometimes with her beautiful voice, sometimes with her weapon, sometimes with her beautiful words and her boundless work, left unforgettable traces in the hearts of the Kurdish people.
Her revolutionary march that started from Batman, in Beirut, in Europe, in West Kurdistan, in Mardin and Garzan significantly immortalized every moment of her life. Friend Mizgin was both a line and a good disciple of our great leader friend Mazlum Doxan. In the early years, when the seeds of the APO movement were sown in the lands of Kurdistan, a great shock entered her heart. As the movement recognizes engagement with great connection, hope and belief. The sparks of the fire of struggle that took place in Kurdistan opened the way to a warmth that will never be cold in the heart, mind and soul of the friend Mizgin, in her feelings and thoughts. Since the childhood of the Gospel he has grown up with the resilient values of his people, with the myths of resistance that have been told and with the lamentations of the voices. The love of the people and the land has always been lived in her heart at the level of passion.
Heval Mizgin, who worked with a love of the land and a sense of patriotism, took her place in the initial groups that left the country after the fascist coup of September 12 and moved to Lebanon. At Mahsum Korkmaz academy she was wounded during military training and received short treatment. After living in the Leadership place field for a while, because of her young age, she can hardly cross the country. With the aim of organizing the Resistance Group she went to work in Europe. She also took part in cultural and artistic activities while doing frontline work in Europe. She made a great contribution to the establishment of Hunerkom. Heval Mizgin with her revolutionary scene, with her original art, raised the feelings of revolution and patriotism in the hearts of the people, women and youth. The Kurdish people sang songs of resistance with her in unison. Because the Gospel friend with his beautiful voice became the cry of freedom for his people and for all women. He immortalized our martyred comrades and our struggle for freedom with his meaningful voices and words. Friends of the Gospel took strong steps on the subject of how to develop an art for freedom and revolution. Participates in the work of the third congress in 1986. In the congress approaches the historical knowledge and responsibility of the time and in her subsequent struggle comes out with the strongest influence on the congressional decisions and tries to put these decisions into practice. This is reflected in her pioneering involvement in YJWK’s organizational work. At the first YJWK congress to be held in Europe, she said; “One day we will have congresses with thousands of women.” With this statement the friends show their insistence and belief in the struggle for women’s freedom. This also shows that the companion has a historical prediction. In the same way that friend Mizgin has given her signature to many works in the struggle for women’s freedom, she has also given his signature to the works of YJWK and with a great performance became the pioneer of a new era.
At the end of 1988 she moved to Lebanon again and took part in educations from Rêber APO. Heval Mizgin approaches the training process after a strong practice, in light of the experiences gained from the practice. After training in West Kurdistan, she took his place in public affairs. Here, too, with its naturalness, simplicity, industriousness and its characteristic features take place in the hearts of her people.
Heval Mizgin, who has always had a love for the mountain in her heart, continued her march in 1989 in the mountains of Kurdistan, the most difficult area of the struggle. Performs guerrilla duties with great love and connection. She became like a fox with the steep mountains of Kurdistan. This spiritual unity allowed her to give her signature at many beginnings in a short time, even in guerrilla life. It can also have great success. She moved to Mardin as commander of the Kurdistan Free Mountain Province. As the first female commander of the state, she takes her job seriously. With this knowledge she takes his duty with great seriousness. Comrade Mizgin as a female commander, with her effective and heartfelt sect is much loved both among the guerrillas as well as among the people of Mardin and everyone is influenced by her sect. In 1990 she joined the 4th PKK congress as the head of Mardin. At this congress the State of Mardin for which she was responsible was criticized. On this basis the friend Mizgin gives a detailed critique and at the end of the congress its structure for the state of Garzan will be extended. A friend of Mizgin, who moved to Garzan province in 1991, was surrounded by soldiers on May 11, 1992 in Tetvan while conducting frontline work. Thus the friend of her enters into conflict with the enemy and fights until his last breath and joins the caravans of the immortals.
Her journey from Batman to Lebanon, from Lebanon to Europe, from Europe to Mardin, from there again to Garzan is completed with love, meaning and humility. Her meaningful experience is like this. Mizgin, a walker with a cheerful, pleasant voice and like a breathless wind moving forward. It is a song that never ends, a love that lasts and a wine that does not give up. It is the language and heart of Kurdish women and people. It is a collection of painful tunes of thousands of years. It depends on the level of love to the truth. Heval Mizgin was enchanted with her life, her personality, her art, her beliefs, her connections and her struggle. With her extraordinary personality, she became a shining star that illuminated the future and the future of our struggle for freedom. As a monument of resistance it will always live in our struggle…
