MEXMUR – The body of Haji Mirza Ali, who was martyred in a drone strike by the Turkish state yesterday, was taken from Geyara Hospital last night.

Residents of the Rustem Cudi Refugee Camp, along with the family of Haji Mirza Ali, brought the body to the camp in a convoy from the hospital. The convoy was greeted by a large crowd in front of the camp.

A ceremony for the martyrs was then held at the Martyrs’ Families Institute. The ceremony began with a minute of silence in memory of the martyrs of Kurdistan Freedom. Bedran Pîran, the co-chair of the camp council, spoke after the ceremony.

Bedran Pîran first remembered the martyrs of Azadiya Kurdistan and said: “There are attacks on the freedom movement in all four parts of Kurdistan. The latter attacked the resistance camp. They will not be able to break the will of the camp with these attacks. With the dagger of the traitors, the dagger was placed behind the camp. Let the fascist Turkish state and its ally Mala Barzan, who extend their hand to our patriarchs and people, do not say that this will remain with us. The people of the camp, the people of the resistance. The enemy fears the will of our Polish people. So these are horrific attacks on our people. We reiterate here the promise made by our martyrs and promise that we will break the hand of the traitors. Because today the enemy is kneeling on the ground against the freedom fighters. The enemy wants to break our will, but they do not know that we are gaining strength from the martyrs. ”

After Bedran Pîran’s speech, the people of the camp lifted their coffins and marched to the cemetery. The marchers chanted slogans such as ‘Long live Leader Apo’, ‘Martyrs do not die’ and ‘Death to betrayal’.

The body of the martyr was buried in the cemetery of the camp.
