BEHDÎNAN – The Press Center of the People’s Defense Forces HPG informs in a written statement, about the actions of the guerrillas in the resistance areas of Avaşîn, Zap and Xakurke and the bombings of the Turkish occupying state in the region.
The press center informs:
“Our forces have carried out effective actions by targeting the occupiers in Avaşîn, Zap and Xakurke. As a result of these actions; 13 occupiers were punished, 1 occupier was injured, 1 position was destroyed and 1 drone was hit.
IN THE AVAŞIN REGION;
On 08 May at 13:45 and 15:20, the occupiers around the fighting positions in Werxelê resistance area were hit by our forces with heavy weapons. The occupiers, who were attacked again at 14:40 on the same day, were fired upon with assassination tactics. As a result of these actions carried out by our forces, 3 occupiers were punished and 1 occupier was injured.
IN THE ZAP REGION;
On 08 May at 10:00, the occupiers in the Kurojahro resistance area were hit with heavy weapons by our forces. On the same day, at 15:00, a position of the invaders in Girê Şehid Şemdîn in the Kurojahro resistance area was attacked after being brought under control by our YJA Star forces. As a result of this action, the target position was completely destroyed and 6 occupants were punished.
On 08 May at 14:30, the occupants around the fighting positions in Girê Şehid Harun in Kurojahro resistance area were fired upon by our forces with a coordinated guerrilla action from two sides. The first action arm; Destroyed the position where the occupiers were by hitting them at close range and punished the 3 occupiers. The second action arm; Using assassination tactics, the forces targeted and punished one occupier. At the same time, a drone was shot down in the area by our forces. The drone that was hit had to move away from the area. As a result of this action carried out by our forces, at least 4 occupants were punished and 1 drone was hit.
On 08 May, between 22:00 and 22:30, attack helicopters that wanted to bomb the war positions in the Şehid -Şahin resistance area were attacked by our forces. As a result of the effective hits, attack helicopters had to leave the area. At the same time, gunships that wanted to bomb Girê Rûbar battle positions had to leave the area due to the intervention of our forces.
IN THE XAKURKÊ REGION;
On 06 May at 16:20, the invaders in Girê Şehid Derwêş were attacked by our YJA Star forces with heavy weapons. Enemy targets were successfully hit.
BOMBARDMENTS CONTINUE
Bombardments of Medya defense areas by the invading Turkish army continue.
The details of the attacks are as follows:
On 08 May, the people of the region who were gathering grass on the slopes of Şekîf Mountain in Xakurkê region were bombed by the Turkish state with howitzers and mortars. One of the residents of the region was injured by these bombardments. The bombardments of this area continue.
On 08 May, Çemço area in Zap region was bombed with howitzers fired from the police stations on the border line. The Girê Amediye, Girê Cûdî, Karker, Saca and Kurojahro areas were bombed eleven times with fighter jets. On the same day, Çiyareş, Girê Cûdî, Girê Rûbar, Girê Şehid Dunya, Girê Şehid Şemdîn, Girê Şehid Harûn and Girê Şehid Xelîl were bombed with attack helicopters between 22:00 and 00:30.
On May 07 and 08, the Werxelê resistance area in the Avaşîn region was bombed with attack helicopters and fighter jets.
On 08 May at 15:00, Girê Hakkarî in the Metîna region was bombed by combat aircraft.”
