BEHDİNAN – HPG Press Center said, “The invading Turkish army, unable to advance in the face of the historical resistance of our forces in Zap and Avaşîn, is intensely bombarding the battle positions with chemical weapons and explosives. “Even though the colonial Turkish army resorted to despicable methods and used chemical weapons 21 times and bombed resistance areas dozens of times, the effective actions of our forces under the leadership of YJA Star continue.”
HPG also shared the following information regarding the details of the actions in which 5 invaders were punished and 1 drone was destroyed by shooting down:
“IN THE ZAP REGION;
On May 12, at 16:30, the invaders around the Kevirêkun battle positions of the Şikefta Birîndara Resistance Area were targeted and shot by our YJA Star forces with an assassination tactic, and 2 invaders were punished.
On May 13, Martyr Berxwedan battle positions in the Martyr Shahin Resistance Area were bombed with chemical weapons and explosives. The invading Turkish army bombed the Martyr Berxwedan battle positions 19 times with various chemical weapons containing tar and producing dense black and brown toxic fumes.
On May 13, at 17:00, a drone on the Martyr Şahin Resistance Area was shot down by our forces.
The invaders, who took action around the battle positions in the Kurojahro Resistance Area at 10:15 on 13 May, were targeted and shot by our forces with sabotage tactics and with heavy weapons at 16:30. As a result of these actions, 2 invaders were punished. On the same day, the invaders who wanted to advance towards the Martyr Tolhildan battle positions were shot by our forces with sabotage tactics and 1 invader was punished.
At 13:00 on May 13, the invaders who wanted to advance towards the battle positions in the Martyr Şahin Resistance Area were targeted with heavy weapons by our forces. As a result of the intervention of our forces, the invaders had to retreat one step.
On 12 May, at night, 2 attack helicopters belonging to the invading Turkish army, which wanted to bombard the Kurojahro Resistance Area over the KDP-controlled areas, were under intense attack by our forces. As a result of the intervention of our forces, attack helicopters had to leave the area.
In the morning hours of 14 May, intense clashes took place between our forces and the invaders who wanted to advance towards the battle positions of Girê Martyr Sorxwîn in the Çiyareş Resistance Area. IN METINA REGION;
On May 13, at 13:10, our forces targeted the Kanî Masî outpost of the invading Turkish army, located within the borders of Bashure Kurdistan. The targets determined as a result of the action taken were hit accurately.
The bombardments continue
The invading Turkish army carried out intense attacks with warplanes, attack helicopters and howitzers against the Medya Defense Areas.
The details of the attacks are as follows:
On 12 May, the Desta Kafya area in the Garê region was bombed twice by warplanes.
Girê Şekîf slopes in the Xakurkê region were bombarded with howitzers and mortars fired from the outposts on the border line on 13 May.
On May 13, at 11:40, the Werxelê Resistance Area in Avaşîn region was bombed with attack helicopters and 2 times with chemical weapons.
On 13 May, the areas of Çemço, Çiyareş, Girê Hell, Martyr Şemdîn, Kurojahro, Şikefta Birîndara, Karker, Martyr Şahin, Girê Ortê and Girê Cûdî in the Zap region were bombed with howitzers, mortars, attack helicopters and 26 times with warplanes.
On May 14, at 07:10, the Gunde Fileha area in the Zap region was bombed with warplanes.”
