RANYA – In the surroundings of Ranya, the patriotic youth from the south of Kurdistan, yesterday evening, celebrated the birthday of Rêber Apo. For this purpose, they climbed a mountain in the area and lit a fire there.
Throughout Kurdistan and outside Kurdistan, the celebration of Rêber Apo’s birthday, the date that is synonymous with the resurrection of Kurdish society, continues. Thus, yesterday the youth of Ranya area lit a fire and congratulated Rêber Apo’s birthday in a statement. The patriotic youth and the militant women started their celebration with a minute of silence in memory of the martyrs of the revolution and afterwards leave a statement read by Sîrwan Mihemed on behalf of the youth.
The youth stated that Rêber Apo became the light of free life and that Rêber Apo’s birthday was the birthday of Kurdish society. Therefore, the youth and young women called to stand up for Rêber Apo. After the speech, the youth gathered around the fire and shouted slogans demanding the physical freedom of Rêber Apo and expressing their solidarity with the chairman of the freedom movement and oppressed peoples.
