SHINGAL – On the occasion of the 73rd birthday of Kurdish People’s Leader Abdullah .calan, one of the commanders of the Jengal Women’s Units (YJŞ) Jiyanda idzidxan and one of the commanders of the Berengal Resistance Units (YBŞ) Khalil Arab spoke about the meaning and importance of Kurdish People’s Leader Abdullah Ocalan’s idea for Shingal.
‘RÊBERTÎ SAVED THE YEZIDI WOMEN’
One of the commanders of the Sinjar Women’s Units (YJŞ) Jiyanda Êzidxan begins her speech as follows; “We celebrate April 4th in Leadership and the peoples of the world in the first place. April 4th is not only the birthday of an individual, April 4th marks the day of the unity of peoples. As Yazidi women, the existence of the idea of Leadership is very different for us. The Leader saved Yazidi women from extinction. The one who gave life to our people is Leader Apo.”
YJŞ Commander Êzidxan continued, “In our day, the isolation of the Leader has become even more severe. This isolation is not only in the person of our Leader, this isolation is imposed on all peoples.”
‘OUR HOPE IS TO LIVE FREE ON THE LAND OF SINGAPORE WITH OUR LEADER’
The Commander of the Sinjar Women’s Units, Êzidxan, said; “April 4th is the birthday of all of us. Our hope is to live freely with our Leader on the land of Sinjar. We also present the gift of mother Ûveyş to this mother who gave birth to this great man.”

Xelîl Ereb, one of the commanders of the Sinjar Resistance Units (YBŞ), also started his speech; “April 4 is the birthday of the Leader for both the people of Iraq and the people of the world. The idea of leadership can be said to be the idea of a philosopher of the new age. Most of the states that exist today are trained to fight in our day, but the idea of Leadership is an idea that allows women and men to live in a free society.”

YBŞ Commander Xelîl Ereb continued; “We, as the people of this land, have organized ourselves on this idea and defended our land and society. For this, the birthday of the Leader is a great joy and morale for us. This difference is due to the differences between the components of the region. We can describe him as ‘The sun never sets under the clouds. It rises and spreads its rays.’
