STRASBOURG – The Kurdish youth, who gathered in front of the building at 13.00 with the slogan “We will hear from Leader APO”, continued their protests for about three hours. They carried out an act of civil disobedience in the European Parliament against the continued silence of the 24 years of aggravated isolation against the People’s Leader Abdullah Öcalan by the Turkish state. Dozens of young people gathered in front of the buildings demanding the physical freedom of Leader Öcalan.
Kurdish youth, who made statements in English and French in front of the building, mentioned the following; “With this action, we, the Kurdish youth, are stating that Europe should abandon this dirty policy towards Leader APO. Until we hear from Leader APO and his physical freedom is achieved, the European states will be our target and our actions will continue. Here we announce it to all the press and the public. Whatever the cost, we will never deviate from the path that Leader APO has opened for us, and we will continue our existence with Leader APO’s paradigm. Leave your illegal politics. The Kurdish people will not bow to you.’
Young people unfurled banners and posters in front of the building that read “Leader Öcalan’s physical freedom must be ensured”.
Young people chanted “Liberte Pour Öcalan” and “Bijî Serok APO” slogans frequently for approximately two hours inside the building. Young people tied themselves to iron chains to draw attention to the systematic and aggravated isolation imposed on Leader Öcalan.
In the following hours, the police entered the building with iron cutting shears, jops and pepper spray. The fascist French police, who interfered with the youth, also intervened with the young people with jops and iron cutting scissors. On the other hand, Kurdish youth responded with the slogan “Bijî Serok APO”.
Here, the attacks of the fascist police against the only young female friend and their weakness in front of the women’s will were clearly seen. The journalists who shot the attacks of the police were not allowed to intervene and take pictures. In the interventions against the activists, S.Ö. The young man was taken into custody. The young people’s constant resistance against the police continued.
Young people took to the streets of Strasbourg in a march with posters of Leader Öcalan and banners.
The action ended after three hours.
