NEWS CENTER – The so called “People’s Convoy” is driving around the US states and demanding to “The declration of national emergency concerning the covid-19 pandemic to be lifted immediately” in their online website. They present themselves as “The people of the United States of America that will stand together under the banner of freedom.” However their protests have generated riots around the country, there is very little support for such protests due to the fact that it is a form that affects people’s everyday lives. Furthermore, it is common knowledge that the people who participate in such demonstrations and traffic blockades are fascists resentful of the 2020 election results and Q Anon conspiracy theorists. Their flags, slogans and practices are concrete and clear evidence to the public.
The convoy was stopped by residents of Oakland on 23rd of April, this morning, Protesters met the convoy on I205 overpass, in Portland. Truckers Responded by attempting to spray protesters with firehose and shooting off 2 rounds. They stopped traffic. Some trucks reportedly were hit with paint and eggs. As they were stopped, one of the protesters took of his car with a gun and shot two rounds towards the counter-protests.
