BEHDÎNAN – The statement of the HPG Press and Information Center is as follows:
“The resistance against the occupiers’ attacks began on April 17 and continues with the historic resistance of the Freedom Guerrillas. Despite all the techniques of the occupying Turkish army, the guerrillas resisted, inflicting heavy blows on the occupation. Almost everywhere in Zap the YJA Star guerrillas, in the face of attacks against the forces, are waging a fierce fighting force, not stepping back from all the unpaid rewards to defeat the enemy. The resolute resistance of our comrades Zilan, Mizgin and Rojgirav with their great courage inflicted heavy blows on the enemy, bravely stood up against the attacks and were martyred.

The ancient geography of Kurdistan has been divided by the dictatorial states, leaving our people who have been united with their land for thousands of years, with many social values built and facing genocide. Despite the genocidal goals of the Turkish state, assimilation, destruction and denial of betrayal, our people have struggled for existence. With the formation of our party the PKK, thousands of its heroic sons have joined the ranks of the struggle. Our colleague Zilan from Serêkaniyê, a place where the tradition of struggle has always been alive and pioneered by the Western Revolution of Freedom, was born into a patriotic family. Witnessed the freedom march in the West, participated. Our comrade has achieved that until the young Kurds and Kurdistanis succeed in a relentless and continuous struggle, the guarantee of freedom is the guerrilla struggle. In 2012, he joined the guerrilla ranks. Our comrade as a young woman of resistance, based on the philosophy of Leader Apo, quickly became involved in life, became an exemplary militant of the PKK and PAJK line. Our comrade was enthusiastically involved in life, reaching the level of an expert guerrilla, working in many fields, especially in Gare, Metin and Kandil. In the face of the genocidal attacks on our Yezidi community, he played a role in the fight against the ISIS gangs and again in victory, fulfilling his duty at the defeat level and then moving on to Zap. Our comrade developed as an expert YJA Star guerrilla on the Women’s Liberation Line, as a young commander capturing the spirit of the time, leading his comrades in life and war. Our comrade took her name from Zilan (Zeyneb Kinaci), took the struggle and the spirit of sacrifice from her comrade, on the party line without hesitation, without interest to be a comrade to be loved by all her friends, to be shown respect for her. The first bullet was fired in the occupier Turkish army on 17 April 2022, led by our comrade Zilan, and heavy blows were inflicted on the occupier, who fought valiantly, showing to everyone that a Kurdish woman militant and fighter a free to walk on the line of Leader Apo. Our comrade Zilan fought against the Turkish occupation with the spirit of Apoy’s sacrifice and inflicted heavy losses on them. Our comrade is wounded until he fights his last bullet, throwing a bomb at himself to avoid falling into the hands of the enemy, thus becoming a martyr. Our comrade Zilan, as a comrade of the fedayeen, fought the fedayeen, reached the level of martyrdom, once again confirmed our spirit of war and the line of feudalism. Our immortal comrade’s sacrifice will always illuminate the path of our guerrillas to victory.

MIZGÎN BOTAN
Our comrade Mizgin was born into a Kocher family from the patriotic Teyi tribe in the Botan region. He grew up in a very patriotic and loyal martyr family of the Kurdistan Freedom Movement. Our comrade Mizgin grew up in the mountains in the nature of Kurdistan because her family was nomadic. As a nomad, she did not become more involved in the system of capitalist modernity, growing up in relationships with nature, in peace with himself, and with the love of his country. That is why he has a pure, simple, sincere and loving character. At the same time the qualities of a worker, active, skilled, sociologist and authoritarian emerged as definite aspects of her character. Growing up in a family of martyrs, recognizing the Kurdistan Freedom Struggle from his childhood, he had great sympathy for the guerrillas and grew up with the legends of the martyrs. Because he knew and knew the character of the genocidal enemy, like any patriotic young Kurd she tried to fulfil her historical responsibilities. On this basis, she joined the guerrilla ranks in 2014 in the Farashin Mountains. Passed through the Median Protection Areas, received guerrilla training and began her first practice in the Gare area. She quickly developed and gained experience, trained himself on the basis of the Apocalyptic ideology and established PAJK’s standards in her person, became a skilled militant. In order to integrate his ideological basis and his life experience with the military line of the new era, she trained at a military academy. Our fellow missionary Mizgin, who completed her professional guerrilla training, moved to the Zap region in 2019. Our fellow Mizgin who, as the leading militant of the YJA Star who formed and played the role of the new era guerrilla line in Zap, became a commander with his experience and involvement in a short time. With great love and desire he carried out all kinds of life activities, with his high courage took his place in the war and took part in many activities. One of the brave Kurdish women who launched a large-scale occupation operation against the Zap region, for the first time took up arms and struck a blow at the occupiers. Friend Mizgin is one of our comrades who believed most in the style of guerrilla warfare and practiced it in Zap, fought valiantly in fierce battles and achieved martyrdom. Our comrade Mizgin through his involvement, attitude, practice of war and martyrdom represents the leading will of the YJA Star militancy and free Kurdish women as an undeniable fact.

Our friend Rojgirav was born in a patriotic family in the city of Salmas in East Kurdistan. With the patriotic consciousness he received from his family, he always showed interest in the Kurdistan Freedom Struggle and considered the struggle as a patriotic duty that every Kurd should fulfill. For this reason he did not back down from his quest for struggle even during the intense pressures of the invaders. Comrade Rojgirav, who was sincerely close to the Kurdistan Freedom Struggle, not only limited himself to the struggle in East Kurdistan, but also closely followed the struggle in other parts of Kurdistan. Comrade Rojgirav, who recognized our PKK party in the Western Freedom Revolution, was particularly affected by the guerrilla war against the occupiers. When the ISIS gangs attacked our people in Rojava and Sinjar, he realized that he had to become even more involved in the struggle and joined the guerrilla ranks in 2014. After joining the guerrilla ranks, due to the fierce fighting he focused on military training and in a short time learned the basic rules of guerrilla warfare. After practicing for a while in Gare and Metina, which are connected to the Media Protection Areas, he moved to the Sinjar region as part of the clean-up operation in Sinjar. Comrade Rojgirav, who was involved in many activities against the gangs in the Sinjar region, played an important role in rescuing Sinjar. Although he was wounded in the war, he did not back down from his desire to fight, his determination and his anger against the enemy, on the contrary he raised it even higher and gave more importance to the struggle. Our comrade Rojgirav, who crossed into the Rojava region after Sinjar to fight the gangs, successfully fulfilled all his duties with a relentless force and a dedicated participation. Our comrade Rojgirav, who proved that he can fight as a revolutionary in Kurdistan in the most difficult conditions, at home and anywhere, never lost his longing for the mountains of Kurdistan. He always insisted on coming to the mountains and as a result of these insistences he already went to the mountains of Kurdistan. Our comrade Rojgirav, who immediately went to the practice field due to his hatred and anger against the enemy, had already moved to the Zap area in 2021, where the enemy attacks increased. In the war of 2021 with his military experience he was involved in many activities against the enemy and his decisive role in achieving significant victories. He pioneered the implementation of many modern era combat tactics, especially mobile team combat. Our comrade Rojgirav, who had passed 2022 with good preparation, had entered into a deep contemplation in order to be able to best play his role in the war that broke out. He responded with great courage to the invasion attacks that had begun on 17 April and with his comrades did not allow the enemy to enter the Zap area easily. Our comrade Rojgirav, who fought not only against the enemy soldiers, but also against the enemy equipment, was martyred in the attacks on the Young Martyr Hill in the Karker area where many occupiers were punished. Our comrade Rojgirav who with his Simplicity, his hardworking personality and his deep devotion to the Leader has been an example to all his comrades, has succeeded and has become one of the leading militants of the Zap resistance.
