BEHDINAN – HPG Press Center said, “Our guerrilla forces continue to inflict heavy blows on the invaders by turning every part of Avaşîn and Zap region into resistance areas. Actions were carried out in which the mobile guerrilla warfare style was effectively activated, the coordinated guerrilla warfare tactic was masterfully practiced, and our forces skillfully used many tactics intertwined and effectively. Our forces, which hold the initiative and control in the resistance areas with their mobile guerrilla teams, carry out attack after attack against the invaders.
29 invaders were punished, 10 invaders were injured, 2 attack helicopters were hit, 1 Sikorsky type helicopter was hit and 1 drone was shot down in these actions, in which we did not suffer any casualties and were carried out with a high attack spirit.
HPG also shared the following information regarding the details of the actions taken:
“IN THE AVAŞIN REGION;
“On April 22, the invaders who wanted to advance towards the Werxelê Resistance Area were first taken under control by our mobile guerrilla teams. At 10:00 on the same day, the invaders were targeted from four sides and hit with a coordinated guerrilla action. First action arm; hit the invaders by targeting them with grenades. Here, 2 occupants were punished and 1 occupant was injured. Second arm of action; shot down a group of invaders by targeting them with heavy weapons. As a result of the hits, some invaders were injured, while others panicked and dispersed to the field. Third arm of action; hit the injured invaders by targeting them with the assassination tactic and punished the 4 invaders. The fourth action arm is; targeted the defense arm of the invaders and punished 1 invader who used the BKC weapon. At the same time, it shot down 1 Drone on the area.
As a result of this effective action carried out by our mobile guerrilla teams using intertwined guerrilla tactics, 7 invaders were punished, 1 invader was injured and the drone was destroyed. The bodies of the occupiers punished in this area remained under the control of our forces until 12:30. At 13:30, after the invaders heavily bombarded this area with warplanes and attack helicopters, they were able to remove their punished and injured soldiers with Sikorsky helicopters.
The invaders attacked the battle positions in the Werxelê Resistance Area with explosives and poisonous gases from 09:00 to 16:00 on April 22. At 16:30, the Werxelê Resistance Area was randomly bombed with warplanes.
IN ZAP REGION;
At 07:10 on April 22, the invaders who wanted to advance towards Girê Martyr Cûdî in the Karker Resistance Area were targeted and shot by our forces, and 1 invader with a detector was punished. The occupiers who tried to take the bodies of the occupiers punished at 10:40 the same day were shot with individual weapons. As a result of this action, 1 occupant was punished and 1 occupant was injured. The bodies of the punished occupiers are under the control of our forces, and the clashes between our forces and the occupiers continue.
On April 22, at 10:30, the invaders in the Kurojahro Resistance Area were targeted with heavy weapons and hit accurately. In this action, 1 invader was punished.
On 22 April, the invaders in the Girê Ortê area were targeted with heavy weapons and hit accurately. The number of punished invaders could not be clarified.
In the morning hours of April 22, the invaders who were trying to approach the Martyr Berxwedan battle positions in the Martyr Shahin Resistance Area were targeted and hit with individual and medium automatic weapons. 4 of the invaders who were hit effectively were punished. In the meantime, the invaders who tried to take positions by landing were also targeted and shot, and 2 invaders were punished. At 09:30, the invaders who tried to approach the Martyr Hewre battle positions were targeted and shot with individual weapons. As a result of these strikes, while 3 invaders were punished, our forces went to the funeral of the invaders. The invaders, who took action again in the following hours, were shot again with individual weapons. While it was clarified that 3 invaders were punished here, 6 invaders were injured. After the demonstrations in the Şêhîd Şahin Resistance Area, where 12 invaders were punished and 6 injured, the invaders retreated one step.
At 10:10 on April 22, the invaders removed the punished and injured soldiers from the Martyr Şahin Resistance Area with helicopters. At 14:00, the invaders who tried to take positions in the area were targeted and shot with the assassination tactic, and 1 invader was punished. At 14:10, a group of invaders were targeted and shot with sabotage tactics and 3 invaders were punished. Simultaneously with this action, our forces targeted another group of invaders with weapons, and 2 invaders were punished. At 15:30, helicopters trying to land on the Martyr Berxwedan battle positions in the Martyr Şahin Resistance Area were targeted and hit. As a result of these hits, 1 Skorsky helicopter was hit and had to leave without being able to land. The invader group, which came together in the Martyr Şahin Resistance Area, was targeted and shot with individual weapons, and 2 invaders were injured here.
At 15:30, with the support of attack helicopters, the Sikorsky helicopters that wanted to remove the punished and injured soldiers in the field were targeted and shot down by our forces. The helicopters had to be withdrawn. From 16:30 to 17:00, the invaders again attempted to remove their punished and injured soldiers with helicopters. However, again, our forces intervened and did not allow it. The invaders were able to remove their punished and injured soldiers by landing behind Girê Martyr Şahin.
On April 22, at 17:45, the invaders who tried to take up positions in Girê Rûbar were targeted with heavy weapons and hit effectively. At the same time, 1 invader who was shot with an assassination tactic was punished.
From 12:00 to 12:40 on April 22, the Girê Cûdî area was bombed 3 times with warplanes. Attack helicopters that bombarded Girê Rûbar, Sirtê Kovi, Çiyareş and Girê Hell areas at night were intercepted by our forces. The attack helicopters that bombed Girê Şêhîd Kendal in the Girê Cûdî Resistance Area were also targeted and shot down by our forces. As a result of these strikes, 2 attack helicopters were heavily hit. At 22:40, the Girê Cûdî Resistance Area was bombed with warplanes.
On April 22, at 17:55, the Sêdarê area in the Garê region was bombed twice by warplanes.
From 09:00 to 10:30 on April 22, the Girê Hakkarî area in the Metîna region was bombed with howitzers fired from the border police stations. It was bombed twice by warplanes at 23:30 and twice at 05:30 on 23 April.
On April 22, at 23:20, the Martyr Sharif area of Xakurke region was bombed twice with warplanes.
From 05:30 to 05:40 on 23 April, Girê FM was bombed with howitzers fired from the border police stations.”
