CENTRAL NEWS – A young man named Dogukan Gul was arrested by police in the Ataturk district of Dersim last night, beaten and tortured at the police headquarters. Dogukan Gul, who was tortured by police, filed a criminal complaint with the detainee.
“We were walking on the road at 12.00 last night,” Gul said of the incident. We heard the sound of gunfire and we were scared. We quickly started the march. And the police forcibly put us in the vehicle and took us to the station. When I entered the station all the police attacked me. It hit me for three minutes. Another blow hit me the same way when I took it. I was detained until the next morning. After the beating I lost consciousness and found myself on the ground. “After that, they realized that I had no interest in the incident and asked me not to complain.”
Gul said that his statement was taken with 3 of his friends who were arrested at 08.00 am and said that he was later taken to Tunceli State Hospital for a medical check-up. Gule, who was notified of the attack on him at the hospital, stated that he had gone to the Tunceli Public Prosecutor’s Office and filed a criminal complaint against the police officers who had beaten him.
On the other hand, Gul’s father, Hussein Gul, stated that they had asked the police for the footage on the road and at the station, but the police claimed that the camera was damaged.
