QAMISHLO – Today, Monday, the fifth anniversary when the fascist Turkish occupation targeted HQs of the General Command of the People’s and Women’s Protection Units in Qereçox Dêrik countryside. The leader, Suzdar Dêrik, on behalf of the People’s Protection Units and Women denounced the continuous brutal Turkish bombardment of the legitimate defense areas and their use of all internationally prohibited weapons.
Suzdar Dêrik stressed, “The people of NE, Syria and all parts of Kurdistan will not succumb to the occupying countries that usurp their rights, or accept to live under the shadow of these repressive regimes.
Therefore, Turkish fascism seeks by all means to eliminate the will of the peoples yearning for freedom through its continuous attacks on NE Syria and areas of legitimate defense.
In turn, the co-chair of the Martyrs’ Families Council in the Jazira region, Salma Khalil, recalled all the martyrs of the Kurdistan Liberation Movement and the freedom martyrs in the person of the Qereçoxê martyrs, stressing the need to follow in their footsteps until they realize their dream of liberating every inch of the homeland from the occupiers.
Worth to note that Twenty-six Turkish fascist warplanes launched an attack on the command centers of the People’s Protection Units and Women, and a Media Center, on April 25, 2017, and twenty fighters were martyred as a result.
Thus,The Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria has decided that the 25th of April is Martyrs’ Day.
