BEHDÎNAN – The Kurdish Women’s Freedom Party (PAJK) issued a written statement in which they describe the new attacks by the Turkish occupying state on April 17 as part of a “comprehensive liquidation plan.” It continues, “This is the Kurdish people’s war for existence and freedom.”
The PAJK statement said:
“In the process in which the third world war is spreading, dirty negotiations and calculations are being carried out over Kurdistan. Today, as in the past hundred years, they want to liquidate the Kurds and the values they have created. Instead of Kurdistan based on self-governance, they want to impose a Kurdistan that betrays the values and their own soil and is in the service of the enemies on the peoples in the region and the women and thus teach this century of pressure and tyrannical massacres to our society to remain without status. Therefore, with the approval of the hegemonic powers and with the betrayal of the KDP, total attacks of the fascist AKP-MHP mentality are developing. It is a comprehensive liquidation concept that includes international, regional and collaborative Kurds with these attacks.
The attacks developed by Turkish fascism with the direct support of international powers aim to prevent our freedom revolution from spreading throughout the Middle East, which has an impact on the whole world, and want to stall it. In this way, the policy of annihilation and genocide, which has been imposed on our people for a hundred years, is to be made to succeed.
Just as the centuries-long degradation of the Kurds, the occupation and plunder of Kurdistan were carried out by the hegemonic powers, today the genocidal attacks of the anti- Kurdish fascist Turkish Republic are carried out with the support of the same powers. This is shown by the simultaneous development of the invasion attacks in four parts of Kurdistan, Mexmûr and Şengal, with the participation of the KDP on April 17, against the Medya Defense Areas, Şengal and Rojava.
The genocidal attacks of Turkish fascism are not only against the freedom movement and its guerrillas. It is a war waged against all Kurds who think freely and do not accept surrender. Therefore, this is the Kurdish people’s struggle for existence and freedom. For this reason, all Kurds and women should consider the participation in the resistance under the leadership of the freedom guerrilla as the most basic duty of patriotism and increase the struggle against the fascism of the Turkish Republic, the treachery of the KDP and the dirty deals of the hegemonic powers.
Our freedom struggle has created great values of freedom for the Kurdish people as well as for women, the peoples of the region and the world. Now these values are to be liquidated. Rêber Apo, who created all these values, is being imposed a heavy isolation, massacres are being imposed on the prisoners of freedom, our people are to be imprisoned through political genocide operations and all our values are being attacked. The guerrillas of freedom of Kurdistan are in a historical resistance to protect these values and make them the peoples’ own. Kurds, women and all those who support freedom must stand shoulder to shoulder with the glorious guerrilla resistance against Turkish fascism and KDP betrayal, with the reality of people resisting and fighting with their own strength and dignity, against the politics of genocide and betrayal. The people of Kurdistan, all women and all those who stand for freedom should consider it a historical duty to join the epic resistance of their brave sons and daughters who do not allow surrender, betrayal and occupation under the most difficult conditions.
The continued resistance of the Kurdistan Freedom guerrillas in Zap, Metina and Avaşin, who selflessly resisted the occupation and betrayal along the Beritan line in Zendura, Mamreşo, Girê Sor and Werxelê throughout the year and did not allow the enemy to pass, thus become a clear appeal to the attitude of the free Kurds. Everyone everywhere must join the guerrilla resistance and strengthen it without hesitation in the same spirit against the graceless, relentless and imposed genocide.
Despite the calls of the freedom movement and our people and responsible approaches, the values through the KDP, for which our people reached through a great struggle, and the territory of Kurdistan were offered to the fascism of the Turkish state. The people of Kurdistan must firmly confront the betrayal of the KDP. Embracing an enemy that kills Kurds, plunders and occupies Kurdistan and is unable to uphold the value and existence of Kurds shows the extent of its betrayal. They become a tool and an accomplice to the genocide of the Kurds. History will not forgive this attitude, those who call themselves Kurds must not accept and forgive this.
We, the people and the movement, are in a historical process. Those who leave their mark on the historical process are always the people and women who resist. The defeat of AKP-MHP fascism, the overthrow of the genocidal Turkish state, the guarantee of a free Kurdistan and a democratic Middle East are taking place in the spirit of mobilization and now is the time. Our people and women in the four parts of Kurdistan and abroad must not delay and join the resistance of March 08 and Newroz with the attitude, which will achieve historic results.
On this basis, we call upon our society in the south of Kurdistan, our whole society, the supporters of freedom, the democratic forces, the leftist, socialist, ecological, feminist forces, the defenders of human rights, to take a stand against the fascist occupier who is against humanity without delay and to teach a historical lesson to the fascism of the Turkish state and treason.
