NEWS CENTER – According to JinNews news agency, which publishes a balance sheet on violence against women every month, it was made clear that at least 26 women were murdered last March.
In the same month, 17 other women lost their lives in dubious ways. The news agency pointed out that some perpetrators who tried to murder women were prevented from doing so. It further said that among the suspicious deaths is a case of trying to cover up murders of women under the pretext of “falling from a balcony.”
In Istanbul alone, six murders took place last month and three in Konya. These two cities give the highest murder rate of women. According to the JinNews tally, there was no feminicide in northern Kurdistan (Bakur) last month.
Three children were also killed in March and two other children died in suspicious ways. However, while five children were sexually harassed and three children were raped. One child experienced violence during a Quran class.
