LONDON – In London, activists from Tevgera Ciwanên Şoreşger (TCŞ) and Jinên Ciwan ên Têkoşer (TekoJIN) came together to celebrate Rêber Apo’s birthday on the occasion of the 73rd anniversary of the birth of Chairman Abdullah Öcalan as part of the “Werin Cenga Azadiyê” campaign.
The evening celebration was also attended by members of the British Kurdish Women’s Assembly. At the youth-led event, a fire was lit and the flags of the PKK and Chairman Rêber APO were waved. The youth danced around the fire they lit and enthusiastically chanted the slogans “Bijî Serok APO” and “Rojbûna te piroz be Seroke me”.
During the events, the activists of the youth made the following statement: “The birth of Chairman Rêber Apo is that of the Kurdish people; Therefore, it is also the birth of the Kurdish youth, which is the future of the Kurdish people.”
The youth stressed that they will continue to work for the physical freedom of Rêber Apo and will take action for it always and everywhere, because the freedom of the Chairman is also their freedom.
The action ended with gowend (traditional dance), songs and slogans.
