DISBURG – Members of the Revolutionary Youth Movement (Tevgera Ciwanên Şoreşger) and the Young Women in Struggle (Teko-JIN) marched in the German city of Duisburg under the slogan “Come to freedom struggle in the year of victory”. The youth gathered in front of the Central Train Station in Duisburg at 15:00,and took a minute of silence in memory of the martyrs of the Kurdistan Revolution. Young internationalists also took part in the march. During the march, placards reading “Freedom for Leader Apo” and pictures of People’s Leader Abdullah Ocalan were carried.
The youth who took to the streets of Duisburg lit green, yellow and red smokes and chanted slogans such as “Long Live Ocalan”, “Long Live PKK”, “Long live Rêber Apo”.
The people of the area showed great interest in the youth activity and the youth activity continued with aerial shots.
Internationalists participating in the event said, “The physical freedom of Leader Apo is our freedom. We celebrate Leader Apo’s 74th birthday and wish him physical freedom. ”
A joint statement was issued after the march, saying: “Happy 73th birthday of Leader Apo, to all the martyrs of the Kurdistan Revolution, our comrades in prison and freedom fighters. We are convinced that the physical freedom of Leader Apo will be achieved and that all peoples will achieve their freedom thanks to Leader Apo. The young people who wants to live by the paradigm of Rêber Apo are resisting and our struggle will continue”
The march, which lasted about 2 hours, ended in front of the central train station with cheers and slogans.
