BEHDÎNAN – “The Freedom Guerrilla of Kurdistan developed a sacrificial resistance against the attacks of the genocidal colonialist Turkish state and dealt heavy blows to the invading enemy.” The Co-Presidency of the Executive Council of the KCK calls upon the youth of Kurdistan to respond to the attacks of the enemy and strike a blow everywhere with the high resistance and sacrificial spirit of the guerrillas with effective actions.
The statement of the co-chair of the KCK Executive Council reads as follows:
“The war to crush and destroy the Kurds, which was launched by the genocidal colonialist Turkish state to seize the achievements of the Kurdish people and eliminate the Kurdish existence by breaking the Kurds’ will for freedom and resistance, entered a new phase with the attack on Zap on April 14, 2022. With this new attack of April 14, 2022, the Turkish state wants to break the will of resistance of the Kurdish freedom forces and complete the Kurdish genocidal policy by liquidating the freedom movement.
We call upon the patriotic people and women of Kurdistan, the patriotic revolutionary youth of Kurdistan, the peoples of the Middle East, the friends of the Kurdish people and the democratic public to show their stance against the invasion attacks of the colonialist genocidal Turkish state to take the strongest path and strengthen the struggle and resistance everywhere by siding with the sacrificial resistance of the freedom guerrilla.
The Kurdistan Freedom Guerrilla developed a sacrificial resistance against the attacks of the genocidal colonialist Turkish state and dealt heavy blows to the invading enemy. We warmly salute and congratulate the HPG and YJA-STAR guerrillas and their commanders for their heroic resistance. We remember our comrades who fell through heroic resistance with respect, love and gratitude. The Freedom Guerrilla of Kurdistan has always resisted the attacks of the colonial invading enemy with self-sacrifice and thwarted the enemy’s plans to break the Kurds’ will for freedom and destroy the Kurdish existence. The freedom guerrilla of Kurdistan has not only failed the plans of the genocidal colonialist fascist enemy, but has also been the main force for the continuous growth, development and realization of the freedom will in Kurdistan.
IT IS TIME FOR THE TOTAL RESISTANCE OF THE GUERRILLA AND THE PEOPLE
The Turkish state aims to complete the Kurdish genocide and completely eliminate the Kurdish existence by crushing the freedom guerrilla, which is the will and force of resistance in Kurdistan. These attacks, designed for the purpose of genocide, can be nullified by the total resistance of the guerrillas and the people. When the enemy is attacked everywhere, the people and the resistance forces should be in an active resistance and fight everywhere. Our people must show their reaction, in the spirit of resistance of the guerrilla of freedom, resisting the enemy and breaking the enemy attacks, and act wherever they are. We are passing through a historical period in which the process of existence and non-existence is being experienced for the Kurdish people. As a movement and a people, we have the power and the will to break all the attacks of the enemy on our existence. The organized power of the people is stronger than the tanks, cannons, airplanes and all kinds of techniques of the enemy. Our people have proven this fact many times by breaking and reversing the oppressive policies of genocidal colonialism. As a people and a movement, we are faced with the task of giving the strongest attitude to these attacks of the enemy with the same spirit of resistance and struggle, and to defeat their plans.
OUR PEOPLE IN THE SOUTH MUST SHOW THE STRONGEST REACTION
Our people in the south of Kurdistan must show the strongest reaction against the invasion attacks of the Turkish state. These attacks are targeting Southern Kurdistan and all the achievements of the Kurds. The PKK and the guerrillas are the main targets of attacks because the Kurdish people are fighting for freedom and protecting their achievements. Our people in southern Kurdistan should stand by the guerrillas and revolt against the occupation of the genocidal colonialist Turkish state as in previous years. The will for freedom and the achievements of our people in Southern Kurdistan can be protected by opposing the occupation and collaboration. Those who justify the occupation with the existence of the guerrillas are those who market the values of the Kurds in collaboration with the genocidal colonialist Turkish state. These traitors who market Kurdistan and the Kurdish cause undoubtedly see the existence of the guerrillas as an obstacle in front of them.
THE KURDISTANI YOUTH MUST RESPOND TO THE ATTACKS OF THE ENEMY WITH THE APOIST SPIRIT OF REBELLION
The patriotic revolutionary youth of Kurdistan must respond to the attacks of the enemy and strike a blow everywhere with effective actions, with the high spirit of resistance and sacrifice of the guerrillas. On the one hand, the youth of Kurdistan should strengthen the guerrilla by joining the guerrilla, on the other hand, they should be active wherever they are. The patriotic and revolutionary youth of Kurdistan is the defense army of Kurdistan and the Kurdish people. The youth of Kurdistan should not be silent in the face of the attacks of the genocidal colonial enemy who want to break the will of our people and destroy their existence. The Kurdish youth should take effective measures that hit the fascist enemy with creative and rich methods. Kurdish daughters and sons must act with initiative and lead the struggle everywhere without waiting for instructions from anyone. The attacks and invasions of AKP-MHP fascism will be broken mainly by the leadership of the youth and their struggle will be integrated into the guerrilla resistance.
The defender of the people and the values of freedom is the youth. The patriotic and revolutionary youth of Kurdistan can play this role by demanding this historical duty and responsibility. The youth of Kurdistan should extend the war of freedom everywhere and spread the resistance everywhere by inflicting heavy blows on the enemy. Every Kurdish youth, wherever they are, should perceive themselves as guerrillas and act accordingly. On this basis, the youth of Kurdistan should act in the spirit of the guerrilla apoist self-defense resistance and give the genocidal fascist enemy the answer it deserves.
THE KURDISH WOMAN WILL PLAY THE ROLE OF THE PIONEER AND TAKE HER PLACE IN REPELLING THE ATTACKS
Today, the Kurdish woman is the most fundamental leading force of the Kurdish freedom struggle and makes it invincible by strengthening the spirit of freedom and the resistance of the struggle. She played a very important role in the collapse of AKP-MHP fascism by fighting against the attacks of AKP-MHP fascism and ensuring the active participation of our people and democratic forces in the struggle. It will also play a leading role against the attacks and occupation movements of the genocidal colonialist Turkish state and actively participate in the defense against these attacks.
THE PEOPLE OF KURDISTAN SHOULD SEE THE COOPERATION OF THE KDP AND TAKE A STAND
The KDP is directly involved in the invasion plan by supporting the attacks of the Turkish state. It is a betrayal of the Kurdish people and their cause to join the attacks of the Turkish state with the aim of genocide and extermination of the Kurds. The statement of the KDP that they do not support the invasion attacks of the Turkish state is a deception. They say this because they fear the reaction of the Kurdish people. On the other hand, the KDP prevents the Kurdish people from expressing their reaction to the occupation in Hewlêr and Behdînan, where they dominate. Anti-Kurdish fascist leader Tayyip Erdoğan showed the KDP’s stance and where it stands by thanking the KDP for its support to the occupation. The KDP is involved in the war by providing all kinds of intelligence and logistical support to the Turkish state and besieging the guerrilla areas. The Turkish state carries out its invasion attacks mainly with its intelligence-based technology. The KDP provides the Turkish army with all kinds of logistics and accommodations, as well as intelligence services. When the Turkish army could not land on Kurojaro by air, it actually tried to invade on foot from Şeladize with the support and protection of the KDP. This situation shows how the KDP is cooperating with the Turkish state. Therefore, everyone, especially the people of Kurdistan, should recognize the KDP’s cooperation and oppose it.
INTELLECTUALS, ARTISTS AND WRITERS MUST LEAD SOCIETY
All intellectuals of the society, especially Kurdish intellectuals, artists and writers, should show a visible stance against the occupation and lead the society in developing the reaction against the occupation. Kurdish artists, writers and intellectuals are responsible for explaining and making the society understand the meaning and danger of the invasion attacks of the Turkish state. Being an intellectual and an artist means being the consciousness, the conscience and the language of the society. While the Turkish state is attacking everywhere, especially in guerrilla areas, in order to persecute the Kurds and eliminate their existence, they have the duty to expose these approaches, to make visible these deceptions that try to legitimize and cover up the collaboration with the enemy, and to enlighten the society. Intellectuals and artists also have a historical responsibility to tell the public the truth and ensure that they take a firm stance against collaboration.
THE PEOPLE OF TURKEY SHOULD MAKE CLEAR THEIR REACTIONS AGAINST THE OCCUPATION
Being socialists, democrats and libertarians requires that the peoples and workers of Turkey respond to the attacks of AKP-MHP fascism against the Kurdish people and participate in a common struggle with the Kurdish people. The peoples of Turkey, the workers who are fighting for freedom, democracy, justice and equality should act according to this reality and clearly express their stance against the occupation. For this, May 01, 2022 should be made a day that reveals the stance of the peoples and workers of Turkey against the occupation and their partnership in the struggle with the Kurdish people.
THE PEOPLE OF THE MIDDLE EAST SHOULD ALSO BE AGAINST THE INVASION
The Turkish state is not only targeting Kurdistan and the Kurdish people, it is pursuing a policy in the Middle East based on occupation and expansion. The Kurds and the PKK are targeted because they believe in the brotherhood of peoples and fight for a free and democratic coexistence based on equality in the Middle East. For this, we call on the peoples of the Middle East, especially the Arab peoples, to stand against these invasion attacks of the Turkish state and show their reaction.
We appreciate and condemn the reaction and attitude of the Arab League against the invasion attacks of the Turkish state. Although the Iraqi government considers its stance against the occupation insufficient and opportunistic, it is important for the Arab political forces and states to take a stand against the invasion attacks of the Turkish state in order to stop the hegemonic policies of the Turkish state.
THE INTERNATIONAL FORCES HAVE A HYPOCRITICAL ATTITUDE
It is common knowledge that the Turkish state is carrying out these attacks with the support of international powers. Without the support and acquiescence of the international forces, the Turkish state would not have been able to carry out attacks up to and including the use of chemical weapons. The international forces opposing the war in Ukraine are silent in the face of the invasion attacks of the Turkish state and adopt a hypocritical attitude. The peoples of the world, the democratic public and our people see these facts. We call upon all those who remain silent and support the invasion attacks of the Turkish state to abandon their wrong attitude, which is in no way compatible with freedom and democracy, and openly take a stand against this invasion operation.
THE STRUGGLE FOR FREEDOM AND DEMOCRACY WILL BE VICTORIOUS
The invasion attacks of the Turkish state will fail with the heroic resistance of the guerrillas and the patriotic people of Kurdistan, especially the peoples, women, youth, workers and all those who fight for democracy and democracy will win.”
