BEHDÎNAN – The Commander of the People’s Defense Forces (NPG) Murat Karayilan commemorated the first anniversary of the death of the patriotic Şemseddin Mele (brahim (Ebu Ciwan) of Hesekeyi who died on April 13, 2021 due to coronary heart disease.
Karayilanlan’s message to Abu Ciwan’s family reads:
“First of all, on behalf of myself and on behalf of the Freedom Movement, I send my greetings to the family and once again extend my condolences on the first anniversary of the death of the beloved patriot Abu Ciwan. The migration of someone like Abu Ciwan from among us is indeed a great loss. Because Abu Ciwan was one of those personalities who in the early years when Leader Apo came to this region, recognized and believed in the idea of Leadership. From that time until the day of his last death he struggled on the thoughts and ideas of Leader Apo, without hesitation and without giving up, always being an example of true friendship with Leader Apo, as well as a valuable and true example of patriotism and commitment. was land, country and freedom.
I also know my friend Abu Ciwan very well and we have worked together in many sensitive times. Indeed, what was left of his duty to serve the revolution, his friend Abu Ciwan, did not waste a single day and did not back down. He was a learned patriot and knew Leader Apo closely, followed him and went to the Leadership Field to train with Leader Apo at the Mahsun Korkmaz Academy. On this basis, the city of Hesekê was the foremost example of strong patriotism and commitment to the cause of the Kurdistan Revolution. Indeed, the role of personalities such as Muhammad Ismail of al-Malikiyah, Yusuf Gulo of al-Qamishli and Abu Ciwan of al-Hasakah in the development of patriotic thought among the people of West Kurdistan, and the role of hundreds of others like them, is invaluable. In fact Abu Ciwan is also one of those personalities who spent his command in the service of the cause, he is a martyr of labor. We believe that you as a family and once again all our people of Hasakah will be connected to the cause of Abu Ciwan and will strengthen your involvement in the struggle and revolution more than ever.
I also knew Abu Ciwan as a close friend, once again on behalf of our movement I say that the work and service of Abu Ciwan before the revolution will not be forgotten and all our lives and efforts will be that we have in it to work hard and be worthy of the memory of them and our people.
On this basis, I once again extend my condolences to the family and we say the success of our people. “
