ISTANBUL – People’s Leader Abdullah Ocalan is being held in Imrali. High Security Type F Prison under harsh isolation conditions. Ocalan’s lawyers, Raziye turztürk, Rezan Sarica, Faik gurzgür Erol and Emran Emekçi, applied to the Bursa Public Prosecutor’s Office and the ralmraliyê Prison Administration with a request to meet with their clients.
Leader Ocalan’s lawyers apply to the relevant places twice a week to meet with their client, but no positive or negative response is given. Therefore, on November 22, 2021, they applied to the Bursa Criminal Court with a request for an “urgent meeting”.
The court stated in its response that on October 12, 2021, Leader Ocalan was sentenced to be 6 months without visits and on August 18, he was against sentenced to be 3 months without family visits. The court rejected the lawyers’ application to an visit application on these grounds. But they did not share any information with lawyers about the decisions being cited as a reason for the ban.
