BEHDÎNAN – A statement from the HPG Press and Information Center said:
The most formidable resistance in the history of Kurdistan was shown against the genocidal attacks of the genocidal Turkish army, which started on April 23, 2021 in the regions of Avaşin, Zap and Metina.
The guerrillas of the Freedom of Kurdistan, despite their limited opportunities, resisted with the will of Apoyi and this resistance will be decisive for the future of our people. The freedom fighters who are fighting against the occupiers with this understanding have already defeated the enemy. In 2021, when the historic resistance took place, the worst blow was dealt to the enemy in the battle tunnels of Werxelê. In these battle tunnels, where the occupying Turkish state used all the techniques at its disposal, the will of the Apoyi guerrilla class fell and collapsed. Despite all the attacks the invaders were unable to achieve the result and recklessly used chemical weapons. As a result, our comrades Jinda, Amara and Ozgur were martyred in the battle tunnels of Werxelê. Then our comrades Celal and Mazlum who went to the tunnels with the help of their comrades were martyred under the influence of chemical weapons. These dear comrades of ours with their bravery, loyalty to solidarity and their resolute stand for the defense of their country, did not allow the genocidal Turkish army. We respectfully remember these comrades and reiterate our commitment to remember them in our struggle.

CELAL FEDAKAR
“Our comrade Celal was born into a patriotic family in Sulaymaniyah, where he has always defended the cause of Kurdistan throughout history with his patriotic sect and has paid a heavy price. Because of this family character, national characteristics were also prominent for Celal’s partner. Therefore, the freedom struggles in other parts of Kurdistan attracted his attention. Although some forces were trying to deliberately distance our people from the South from resistance in other parts of Kurdistan, our comrade Celal saw the struggle for freedom and the people of Kurdistan as one. This is why it was influenced by the struggle in the four corners of Kurdistan led by our party PKK and was influenced by the ideology of freedom of Leader Apo. Ever since he was a child he has always been a fan of guerrillas and wanted to be a guerrilla. In 2018, when the Turkish army launched an offensive against EfrînêAfrin and mainly Kurdish women, young Kurds with the Apoyi philosophy fought valiantly against the enemy, it also fell under the influence of this and decided join the guerrilla ranks. Our comrade Celal, who had a natural personality, trained in the guerrilla fronts and was completely dedicated to the Kurdistan Freedom Struggle. With the received training he established the living standards of Democratic Modernity in his personality, thus entering into a great struggle against the influence of the capitalist system. Also with his depth, he really appreciated the reality of the enemy and the character of the nook line and had a great deal of anger against this line. It is believed that the nomadic line in Kurdistan can only be broken by insisting on the Apoyi line.
Despite his ideological depth with his military prowess he also became a successful militant. For a long time he was involved in many activities against the enemy in the Avaşin area and played a major role in inflicting heavy casualties. Week a professional guerrilla was involved in these activities, having a decisive moment in the implementation of the new time tactics. Our comrade Celal believed that the occupier Turkish army’s attacks on the Median Defense Areas were against the whole of South Kurdistan, therefore he believed that the achievements of our people of the South could be defended by resistance in Avaşin. After the enemy was defeated in the face of resistance in the battle tunnels at Werxel and then relentlessly attacked with chemical gas, like our comrade Mazlum our comrade Celal also ran with the help of his comrades. He went to the tunnels of Werxel, where he went to carry out his revolutionary and co-operative missions, was poisoned and martyred by chemical gas. Our comrade Celal joined the caravan of martyrs as a follower of our great martyrs Doctors Sirvan, Viyan and Helmet.”

Our comrade Jinda was born in a patriotic family in Afrin, in the Rojava resistance monument. Due to the patriotic tradition of our family our colleague Jinda also heard our PKK party from childhood and grew up with the heroic hands of the guerrillas. With the beginning of the Rojava Revolution, she saw the first guerrilla units in Afrin and joined the Rojava Revolution under the influence of the sect of their comrades in life, under the influence of Apoyi culture and morals. At a time when the war was heavy, with determination and great enthusiasm involved in the war, did not allow the enemy to occupy our country and destroy the achievements of our people. She worked in various fields in Rojava for a long time and in 2017 she went to the mountains of Kurdistan to join the guerrillas. Our comrade Jinda learned to live in the mountains in a short time after joining the guerrilla ranks, with her training she developed both militarily and ideologically and became an exemplary female militant. Our partner Jinda did not involve herself in the series and always tried to develop himself and contribute to the development of hers peers. With his simple personality, he rose from the heart and hard work with the task of leadership in every moment of life. She took on the role of commander, which is a difficult task and at the same time a heavy responsibility, and took the lead in the fight against the occupation. She also received expert training in reconstruction and, as a professional YJA-Star fighter, dominated modern-day guerrilla tactics.
Our comrade Jinda, who practiced guerrilla warfare all over the Avaşin area, got to know the entire Avaşin area. In the course of the war this took advantage of itself and in many areas of heavy fighting involved intervention groups against the enemy. The last was ready in the battle tunnels of Werxelê where the enemy attacked for 3 consecutive months but was unable to achieve the result.There was a legendary resistance of his comrades in the tunnels. Leaded as a YJA-Star guerrilla and inflicted heavy casualties on the enemy. The genocidal Turkish army used chemical weapons in the face of this historic resistance led by YJA-Star guerrillas. Our comrade Jinda was also martyred as a result of the attack with chemical gases. Her heartfelt smile will always be a source of strength and morale for her peers.”

AMARA ÇIYA
“Our comrade Amara was born in the city of Dirbêsiyê in West Kurdistan. This region developed with the PKK and joined thousands of her children in the ranks of the Kurdistan Freedom Fighters and has hundreds of martyrs. Our comrade Amara, because she comes from a patriotic family saw even more opportunities with the Rojava Revolution to get to know the Kurdistan Freedom Struggle more closely. She was particularly influenced by the women who held positions of responsibility during the Western Revolution and tried hard to take her place as a leading militant in the freedom struggle. Our comrade Amara succeeded in these efforts and joined the guerrilla ranks in 2015, responding to the enemy attacks on the achievements of our people. In order to be able to wage a strong struggle against the attacks of the enemy, he understood that he had to deepen himself militarily and ideologically and participated in training on this basis. She became a skilled YJA-Star guerrilla as much as guerrilla warfare and tactics as well as immersed herself in the History of Women’s Freedom, the History of Kurdistan and the philosophy of a free life of Leader Apo. Our friend Amara considered mountain life as a free life and never wanted to be cut off from the mountain and wanted to become one with nature. Our comrade Amara spent most of her guerrilla life in Avaşin and like Avaşin with her pure personality became a place of love and respect among all her comrades. In the midst of the conditions of the war she was selflessly involved in fulfilling her responsibilities before her comrades and did not hesitate for a moment against the attacks of the enemy, defending her position on the line of free women. Our comrade Amara inflicted heavy blows on the enemy both with the tactics of the teams in action, as well as with the rich tactics of the battle tunnels. Our comrade Amara was martyred despite the chemical attack along with her comrades and became one with the nature of Avaşin.”

“Our friend Ozgur was born in Sêrtê in a patriotic family. Growing up in a family and environment where there were rewards in the Kurdistan Freedom Struggle and participation in the guerrilla ranks. Our comrade Ozgur, who grew up in such an environment, like many Kurdish children, recognized the reality of our people and country in his childhood. Because his family moved to the Turkish metropolis, he grew up far away from Kurdistan but never lost sight of the reality of the people and the country. That is why he started to struggle at a young age, working in many jobs, especially Youth Groups. He was kidnapped by the enemy for his legal activities and held for 13 months in enemy prisons. He continued his struggle in the prison area, known as the Leadership Square, despite the pressure and torture of the enemy. He was still determined to get out of prison and, in response to the enemy’s concept of attack from 2015 onwards, decided to join the guerrilla ranks that was his childhood wish and had already given himself up to the free mountains. Our comrade Ozgur, joined the guerrilla ranks from the Avaşin area and saw the first guerrilla units in Avaşin, received his initial Leadership training in Avaşin, participated in the initial action in Avaşin and recognized the reality of martyrdom in Avaşin.
Our comrade Ozgur has always been associated with Avaşin from friendship to nature, has always been loyal to the values of our heroic martyrs in Avaşin and this has made himself the basis of an even stronger struggle. He was involved in ideological and professional training as part of a guerrilla reconstruction project and was greatly influenced by the leadership characteristic that transforms people in training. To become a good militant Leader Apo based his deepening in the philosophy of Leadership, strengthened himself militarily and ideologically. After this training process he returned to Avaşin and was martyred in a chemical attack by the enemy in the battle tunnels of Werxelê where the heroic deeds were written. Thus became involved with the heroes of Avaşin.”

MAZLÛM BATMAN
“Our comrade Mazlum was born in a patriotic family in Batman, where he has never bowed down to the genocidal Turkish state and has always shown his insistence on a free life through uprisings, in a patriotic family that has many rewards in the struggle for freedom in Kurdistan. This had a strong impact on our comrade Mazlum because of the martyrdom and involvement of his family and surroundings, as well as the fact that the heroic deeds of the martyrs and guerrillas were always talked about within the family. Our comrade Mazlum recognized the Kurdistan Freedom Movement with the memories of the martyrs and entered the search on the basis of a free life. With his hardworking personality while working in the Turkish metropolises he saw better the discriminatory policies of the genocidal Turkish state and understood the reality of the enemy. He also felt the genocidal policies of the enemy against our people and came to believe that he should be held accountable for the massacres of the enemy against our people. Our comrade Mazlum joined the guerrilla ranks when the Turkish state and its ally the ISIS gangs attacked the achievements of our people in Rojava, at the call of the mobilization of Leader Apo from the area of Amed. After a short period of training in Diyarbak Er Province, he moved to Rojava and worked hard to save Kobanê. He later took part in many steps in the Western region and in these steps with his fighting spirit and courage became a source of strength and morale to all his comrades.
Although he was wounded in the war he never compromised his desire and determination to fight, on the contrary he became even more committed to the struggle and increased his determination. Our comrade Mazlum, despite successfully fighting in all areas under any circumstances, never gave up his childhood desire to always be a guerrilla in the mountains of Kurdistan. On this basis, in 2017, he went to the mountains of Kurdistan and fulfilled this request. Recognized the truth through mountain life and understood the truth through Leadership training. He also saw that genocide is being imposed on our people and was faithful to this with the strong will of the struggle that was created in the person of our heroic martyrs and Leader Apo. He guerrillaized in the mountains of Kurdistan in Gare, Cilo, Zap and most recently in Avaşin, with his life and fighting he became an exemplary Apoyi militant. During the enemy invasion attacks that began on 23 April 2021 on the Median Defense Areas, the Avaşin area used both guerrilla and tactical guerrilla tactics as well as its successful offensive in the battle tunnels at various points. took the lead in defeating enemy attacks. In spite of the enemy attacks outside of humanity he also fought with the strong will of Apoyi and inflicted heavy blows on the enemy. Our comrade Mazlum, who was linked to the martyrs and his comrades, went to the aid of his comrades after the enemy used chemical gas in the battle tunnels of Werxelê, but was poisoned and martyred by the effect of the chemical gas. Our comrade Mazlum who was one of the unparalleled examples of loyalty to Leader Apo, his martyrs and comrades, will always be a pioneer in our struggle.”
Our comrades Celal, Jînda, Amara, gurzgür and Mazlûm entered the history of freedom of our people with their historic war against the occupiers and left behind a great legacy of resistance. We extend our deepest condolences to all the patriotic people of Kurdistan, especially to the dear families of these comrades. ”
