BEHDÎNAN – HPG Press Center shared the following information on the details of the clashes in Avaşin and Zap:
“The comprehensive actions are continuing uninterruptedly in which our forces are securing land domination by using new-era guerrilla tactics and dealing heavy blows to the occupiers with mobile guerrilla teams. As a result of the effective actions of our forces, which acted against the occupiers with sacrifice, 15 occupiers were punished, 2 occupiers were injured, 1 base and 2 mobesse camera systems were destroyed. In addition, our forces took action against the occupiers and confiscated their military equipment.
The details of the actions taken are as follows;
IN THE AVAŞIN REGION;
On April 29 at 2:30 p.m. and 7:45 p.m., the occupiers around the Werxelê resistance area were attacked and gunned down by our forces. The number of occupiers punished and injured as a result of these actions could not be clarified. On the same day, between 10:30 and 15:30, the Turkish occupation army bombarded the resistance area with chemical weapons, explosives and attack helicopters.
IN THE ZAP REGION;
On April 22, the invaders who wanted to advance towards the war positions of Girê Şehîd Hemrîn in the Şehîd Şahîn resistance area were brought under control by our forces and shelled at close range. In this action, our forces, who were taking action against the occupiers, punished one occupier and confiscated the occupiers’ military equipment.
On April 29, the occupiers who were around the fighting positions of the Şehîd Berxwedan in the resistance area of the Şehîd Şahin were pursued by our mobile field teams. The occupants, who were brought under control, were fired upon with a coordinated guerrilla action in 4 arms at 18:30 on the same day. Our forces targeted a position of the occupiers from two sides using infiltration tactics and hit them with hand grenades and individual weapons. The targeted position was destroyed and 5 occupiers were punished. The occupiers who wanted to intervene in the action area were attacked by the second and third action groups and 7 occupiers were punished. At the same time, the occupiers’ Mobesse camera system in the area was destroyed.
As a result of this successful action conducted by our mobile action teams with high maneuverability, 12 occupiers were punished, 1 base and 1 Mobesse camera system were destroyed. The occupiers who bombed the area with gunships after this action were able to get their wounded out of the area by helicopters at night.
On April 29 at 1:30 p.m., the invaders who were going to attack the Kurojahro resistance area with chemical weapons and explosives were attacked by our forces and hit with sabotage tactics. As a result of the action, 1 occupier was punished. On the same day at 14:00 the occupiers were attacked and shot at with heavy weapons, the number of punished and injured occupiers could not be determined. After these actions, the occupiers heavily bombed the resistance area.
On April 29 at 13:00, the occupiers around Girê Şehîd Şemdîn’s fighting positions in Kurojahro resistance area were attacked by our YJA Star forces with heavy weapons. As a result of this action, 2 occupants were injured.
On 29 April at 22:00, the occupants around Girê Rûbar fighting positions were attacked and fired upon by our forces and 1 Mobesse camera system was destroyed.
On April 29 at 09:30, the occupiers around Kevirêkun in the resistance area of Şikefta Birîndara were attacked by our forces and 1 occupier was punished.
On April 29 at 18:30, the slopes of Girê Zengil in Garê region were bombed by fighter planes.
On April 29, between 5:00 p.m. and 10:30 p.m., the areas of Girê Cûdî, Şehîd Kendal, Şehîd Zagros and Şehîd Şîlan in the Zap region were bombed six times with howitzers, mortars and fighter planes from outposts on the border line.
On April 29, Çemço, Kunîşka, Sîda, Şikefta Birîndara, Çiyareş, Girê Şehîd Cûdî and Girê Ortê areas in Zap region were bombed 17 times from police stations on the border line with howitzers and fighter planes.”
