BEHDİNAN – HPG Press Center announced the identity information of the guerrillas who were martyred in the invasion attacks launched by the invading Turkish state and KDP on 17 April.
HPG-BİM stated the following in its statement:
“The biggest blows in history are inflicted on the invaders with the war style of mobile guerrillas, which is one of the dominant tactics of democratic modernity guerrillaism against the comprehensive invasion operation launched by the invading Turkish state. Our comrades Agir and Fedakar, who are the masters of this new tactic, which the enemy did not expect and were caught unprepared for, dealt heavy blows to the enemy with the resistance they developed. Our comrades Agir and Fedakar, who became martyrs by fighting bravely with the enemy during the tough war, took their honorable place in history as the leading commanders of our resistance.

AGIR BOTAN
Our comrade Agir was born in a patriotic family in Cizîr, one of the important centers of our freedom struggle. The family of our comrade Agir has devoted themselves to the freedom movement from the very first stages of our struggle and entered into the struggle. Many members of the family joined the guerrilla ranks and there were martyrdoms. Comrade Çiçek Botan, who is also the aunt of our comrade Agir, was a commander who made important contributions to the enlargement of our struggle and to the army of YJA Star. Our comrade Agir grew up with this patriotic tradition of his family. He felt great sympathy for the guerrilla with the heroic epics and stories of the guerrilla told by his family, and made joining the guerrilla the main purpose of his life. Our comrade Agir also witnessed closely the genocidal policies developed by the enemy against our people, and for this reason, he harbored great anger against the enemy in his heart. He started to take part in the revolutionary work since his youth and has been involved in many different and strategic studies. He has had a successful practice with his professional working style in his activities. Our comrade Agir, who joined the guerrilla ranks in response to the Precipitation Plan developed by the enemy since 2015, against our people and our movement, thus fulfilled his childhood dream. Shortly after joining the guerrilla ranks, he became integrated with the guerrilla life and made himself competent militarily and ideologically. As our comrade Agir deepened in the Leadership ideology, he made his participation more qualified and continued his leadership in life, this time as a leading commander. Our comrade Agir, who mostly works in the field of Zap, participated in many actions here and gained an important experience. He took commanding training in order to integrate his military experience with the doctrine of revolutionary war and thus to reach a more effective style. With the command training he received, he gained great competence in both ideological and military terms and moved back to the Zap region as a unit commander. Comrade Agir, who commanded the mobile guerrilla teams in the invasion attacks that started from the land on April 17, faced the invaders with great courage, aware of the responsibility he assumed, and dealt major blows. Our comrade Agir, who responded to the invaders with a creative style and was honored to command the mobile guerrilla teams, will always be remembered as one of the symbolic militants of the Zap Resistance.

Our devoted comrade was born in Kobanê, the city of resistance, in a patriotic family. Our devoted comrade, who has a high awareness of the country and the people due to his family being patriotic, believed that it was necessary to fight against the genocidal policies of the enemy against our people. It sought for this, and as a result of these searches, our party recognized the PKK. Our devoted comrade, who had to move to Bashure Kurdistan due to the pressures of the Baathist Regime during the war that started in Syria, has never been indifferent to the war in Rojava. He was impressed by our comrades who were martyred by fighting heroically in the resistance developed against the gangs in Rojava and realized that he had to join the ranks of the struggle. The silence of the political forces in Bashure Kurdistan against the gang attacks, especially the Turkish state, against the gains of our people has caused our devoted comrade to react to these forces. He believed that true patriotism and revolutionism comes from struggling in such a process where our people are going through the hardest times. With the intensification of the attacks in 2014, our comrade Fedakar, who decided to fight, turned his face to the mountains of Kurdistan and joined the guerrilla ranks. After joining the guerrilla ranks, he succeeded in integrating with the mountain and guerrilla life immediately, and he improved himself day by day. As he deepened in Apoist philosophy, he created important changes in his personality and became an exemplary militant by reflecting these changes in his life. He came to the fore with his interest in military art and developed himself in every sense in this field. The new era experienced significant concentration on guerrilla tactics, and was aware that the enemy could only be defeated with these rich tactics. For this, he always suggested going to areas where the war was intense. On this basis, he moved to the Zap area, where he practiced most of the guerrilla practice. In the field of Zap, he has succeeded in being a person who is respected and shown as an example by all his comrades with his hardworking personality, simplicity and devotion to his comrades. He constantly followed the enemy in the zap area and concentrated on how to best hit the enemy. On this basis, it has played an important role in the resistances that were developed in 2021 and resulted in the defeat of the enemy. During the war, he gained significant experience in both mobile team warfare and tunnel warfare, and he prepared himself for a war that could develop in every sense. In the invasion attacks launched by the enemy on April 17, he was among the first teams to resist against the invaders who wanted to land in the Karker Resistance Area, and dealt heavy blows to the enemy. Our mobile guerrillas, including our devoted comrade, also determined the character of the resistance to be developed against the enemy. For this reason, our devoted comrade, who died by fighting against the enemy with great courage, self-sacrifice and self-sacrifice, took an honorable place in our history of resistance as a leading militant and commander of the Zap Resistance.
Our comrades Agir and Fedakar, who determined the character of the resistance and our war tactics with the struggle they developed against the occupation, became a line of resistance for all their comrades with their sharpness in the resistance and their unwavering stance in marching to martyrdom. We state that we will defeat the enemy by deepening in this line of resistance determined by these esteemed comrades, and we express our condolences to all patriotic people of Kurdistan, especially their valuable families.”
