BEHDÎNAN – The HPG’s Press and Information Office issued a written statement regarding the guerrillas’ activities.
The HPG statement said:
The resistance of the guerrillas of the freedom of Kurdistan against the occupier operation of the Turkish state continues unabated. Our forces carried out some activities with creative touring teams. 5 occupants were punished and 2 occupants were injured in these actions.
IN THE AVASHIN AREA
At 15.20 on 26 April the occupiers wanted to take up positions around the Werxel Resistance Square. Our forces assassinated these invaders from two miles away. The occupier was punished in this action, one occupier was also injured. After the action, the occupier Turkish army fired howitzers from the border checkpoints and the area was bombed 3 times by war planes.
IN THE ZAPE AREA
On 28 April, the occupiers targeted our forces when they tried to move towards Sorehit Sorxwin Hill, which is connected to the Çiyareş Resistance Area, towards Kehit Kürtay Hill. As a result of the action of our forces, a heavy battle took place on the field from 10.30 to 14.00. Our forces gave individual weapons and assassination to the invaders. At least 3 occupants were punished in this action. The occupier Turkish army evacuated the dead and wounded from the area after bombarding the area with obus.
On 28 April, the occupiers were fired upon by our forces with an assassination tactic around the battlefields of Kevirêkun in the Kurojahro Resistance area and 1 occupier was punished. At 12:00 on the same day, the occupiers were targeted in the area and fired with heavy weapons, the number of occupiers who were punished and wounded has not been clarified.
At 18:40 on 28 April in the vicinity of the Werxel Seasonal Resistance area, the occupiers were targeted by our forces with heavy weapons. As a result of the effective strikes of our forces 1 occupant was punished and 1 was wounded.
On 28 April, between 09: 00-20: 00 hours, the occupying Turkish army bombed the Kurojahro Resistance Areas 5 times with explosives, chemical weapons and 2 times with warplanes. During the night the Resistance Areas were once again bombed by attack helicopters.
On 28 April, between 18:45 and 18:50, the areas of Girê Cûdî and Girê Bihar in the Zap region were bombed three times by warplanes. On April 29, between 04:30 and 05:00 hours, the area of Girê Cûdî was bombarded with obus from the stations on the border line.
On 28 April, between 17:30 and 20:00, the areas of Hell Hill and Çemço in the Zap region were bombed eight times by warplanes. The same day, the Çemço area was bombarded with obus from the checkpoints on the border.
