BEHDİNAN – HPG Press Center shared the following details regarding the clashes between the guerrilla forces and the invading Turkish army:
“Our forces are inflicting heavy blows on the invading Turkish army by carrying out effective actions with mobile guerrilla teams. The invading Turkish army, unable to advance in the face of our forces displaying a historical resistance in the battle positions, continues to commit war crimes by using chemical weapons intensively. Despite all the dirty war methods of the colonial Turkish state, the Kurdistan Freedom Guerrilla, which is the bearer of the self-sacrificing spirit, develops its historical resistance every day with the perspective of victory and thwarts the attacks of the invaders with its rich guerrilla tactics.
As a result of the effective actions of our forces, 14 invaders were punished, 1 invader was injured and 1 position was destroyed. At the same time, 1 attack helicopter and 1 drone were hit.
The details of the actions taken are as follows;
IN AVAŞIN REGION;
On April 23, the invaders around the Werxelê Resistance Area were targeted and shot by our forces with the assassination tactic. As a result of this action, 3 invaders were punished and 1 invader was injured.
On April 24, at 13:30 and 14:20 hours, the Werxelê Resistance Area was bombed with explosives by the invading Turkish army. On the same day, at 15:20, the invaders, who wanted to attack again with explosives, were shot at close range after being taken under control by our forces, and 2 invaders were punished. The invaders, who were hit as a result of the effective action of our forces, bombarded the Resistance Area with warplanes in the evening.
IN ZAP REGION;
On April 24, at 16:00, the invaders around the Girê Ortê battle positions in the Girê Karker area were shot down by our forces. As a result of this action, 1 invader was punished.
On April 24, at 17:10 and 17:30, the invaders located around the Şikefta Birîndara Resistance Area were targeted with heavy weapons by our forces. As a result of these two actions, the targets set were successfully achieved.
The invaders who wanted to attack the Girê Cûdî Resistance Posts with explosives on April 24 were targeted by our forces with an assassination tactic and 1 invader was punished.
On April 24, at 10:30, the invaders around the Martyr Berxwedan Resistance Posts were targeted and shot by our forces. As a result of this action, 2 invaders were punished and 1 position was destroyed.
In the morning hours of April 24, the invaders around the Kurojahro Resistance Area were shot by our forces with heavy weapons, and as a result of this action, at least 2 invaders were punished.
On April 24, the invaders who wanted to take positions around the Werxelê Resistance Area were targeted and shot by our forces and 1 invader was punished.
On April 24, at 18:00, a drone on the Martyr Şahin Resistance Area was struck by our forces.
On April 24, the invaders who wanted to take positions around the Girê Mamreş battle positions in the Kurojahro Resistance Area were shot by our forces with individual weapons and 2 invaders were punished.
At 20:40 on April 24, attack helicopters that wanted to bombard the Girê Rubar area were targeted by our forces and 1 attack helicopter was hit as a result of effective strikes.
On April 24, the war positions of Girê Ortê, Girê Martyr Cûdî, Girê Martyr Berxwedan, and Martyr Hewrê were bombed 19 times with explosives and chemical weapons.
On 24 April, Şikefta Birîndara and Martyr Şahin, Çiyareş, Martyr Berxwedan Resistance Areas were bombed 11 times by warplanes, attack helicopters and howitzers fired from the police stations on the border line. On the same day, the Çemço area was bombed with warplanes.
On April 24 and 25, Girê Cûdî and Girê FM areas in the Zap region were bombed 7 times with warplanes and mortars and howitzers fired from police stations on the border line. On the same dates, the Golka area and Girê Hakkarî in the Metîna region were bombed 3 times by warplanes.”
