CENTRAL NEWS – The demand for the freedom of Kurdish People’s Leader Abdullah berfirehcalan is spreading in Kurdistan and around the world. The National Education Union (NEU), one of the UK’s largest and most prestigious unions, has announced its support for the ‘Freedom for Abdullah Ocalan campaign and concluded its congress this year with a call for the release of Abdullah Ocalan.
Thousands of delegates of education workers took pictures of Kurdish People’s Leader Abdullah Ocalan on “Freedom for Ocalan” and demanded the release of Kurdish People’s Leader Abdullah Ocalan at today’s union congress.
In the congress, the assembly called on thousands of delegates to stand together for the release of Abdullah Ocalan, 1,700 delegates took a picture of Kurdish People’s Leader Abdullah Ocalan with the text “Freedom for Ocalan” and demanded his release.
The congress, held in the southern English city of Bournemouth, brought together trade union delegates from across the country, as well as trade union leaders, parliamentarians and civil society representatives.
The NEU union is known to have around 500 thousand members across the UK.
