CENTRAL NEWS – The Turkish occupation state has increased its attacks on the countryside of Girê Spî canton, especially on the Ein Issa district, in addition to increasing its movements along the lines of contact in the western countryside of the occupied city of Girê Spî and the western and eastern countryside of Ein Issa district, as it raised earthen berms and dug trenches along the front lines with the Syrian Democratic Forces, and reinforced its military bases with heavy weapons and dozens of soldiers and mercenaries.
The Turkish occupation state and its mercenaries bombard the villages of Al-Muallaq, Al-Jadida, Al-Khalidiya, Al-Hoshan, Ain Issa camp, the international road in the western countryside, and the village of Sidon in the northern countryside of Ain Issa district, on an almost daily basis with heavy weapons, targeting civilian homes directly, causing material and human damage.
In this regard, the leader of the Syrian Democratic Forces on the fronts of Girê Spî Canton, Ardal Kobani, confirmed to our agency that “the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries have escalated their attacks on the area since the beginning of this year, but they have increased more recently, as the occupation established large military bases along the border and lines of contact with our forces. It also pulled his soldiers who were managing mercenaries to his large bases, as well as bringing heavy machinery and weapons to those bases.
He continued, “The Turkish occupation has built a large base in front of the village of Al-Arida in the village of Al-Taybeh in the western countryside of the city of Girê Spî, and this base poses a great danger to the entire region, specifically on the fronts of Ain Issa district. It also changed its strategy, as it withdrew its soldiers from the base of the village Abdko al-Kabir, Ailwa and Hijazia in the western countryside of Girê Spî to the Taybeh base, in addition to bringing mercenaries to the front to confront the Syrian Democratic Forces”.
Kobani added, “The Turkish occupation state suffers from internal crises, trying to export them to our areas, as everyone in the areas occupied by Kiribati, Serêkaniye, and Afrin reveals how its mercenaries do not accept themselves. Every faction of mercenaries is trying to control the arena, so the occupation tries to occupy them. The attacks on the area, especially in the recent period,” adding, “After the withdrawal of the occupation soldiers from the aforementioned villages, many problems occurred between the mercenaries, to the point where strong clashes erupted between them, which led to the dispersal of the occupation army, which targets citizens who go to their agricultural lands”.
Kobani pointed out that “the Turkish occupation state, in addition to its recent escalation and establishment of military bases in the region, is raising earth mounds and digging trenches, especially in the villages of Kiffa, Tayba and Abu Zuhour, to protect its soldiers and prepare for new attacks,” stressing, “We, the Syrian Democratic Forces, are the sons of this people and the owners of these lands. We are ready to confront any attack on the region, and we hope our people will support us by all means”.
