BEHDÎNAN – HPG Press Center said, “The effective actions of our forces against the Turkish state’s comprehensive invasion operation against Avaşîn and Zap regions continue uninterruptedly. During the four-day intense war, our guerrilla forces effectively implemented many war tactics, from heavy weapons to sabotage tactics, from assassination to infiltration, from raids to coordinated guerrilla actions. The creative application of our forces, especially by spreading the mobile guerrilla warfare style throughout the land, and the fact that the Turkish army has prevented the attempts of the Turkish army to land the invaders with helicopters many times represents an important level in the new era of guerrilla warfare.
A total of 37 invaders were punished and 4 injured in the actions carried out by our guerrilla forces with their high combat performance on the basis of the Bazên Zagrosê Revolutionary Campaign.
The details of the guerrilla actions are as follows:
“IN THE ZAP REGION;
At 12:20 on April 20, the invaders who wanted to advance towards Girê Rûbar in the Çiyareş Resistance Area were hit with a coordinated guerrilla action in which infiltration and raid tactics were used intertwined. Our professional mobile guerrilla teams defeated the invaders in a short time with a hawk strike style. As a result of this action, 13 invaders who were shot at close range were punished and 2 invaders were injured. Our forces went to the funerals of 7 invaders and successfully completed their actions without any casualties.
On April 17, at 13:00, the invaders who wanted to land on the Çiyareş Resistance Area with helicopters were effectively hit by our forces. As a result of the intervention of our forces, at least 2 invaders were punished.
Our forces intervened against the invaders who wanted to land in Girê Hell area with helicopters at night on April 17. As a result of the effective intervention of our forces, the invaders had to retreat.
On April 18, at 07:00, the position in the Çiyareş Resistance Area, which included 6 invaders, was hit by our forces at close range with an attack and assassination tactic. As a result of this effective action carried out by our forces, 5 invaders were punished, 1 position and 1 BKC weapon were destroyed. On the same day, 3 more invaders were punished as a result of the uninterrupted actions of our forces.
On April 19, the invaders in the Şikefta Birîndara Resistance Area were targeted and shot by our forces with heavy weapons. As a result of the action, 2 invaders were punished. At 21:40 and at 04:20 on 20 April, the invaders who were in the area were targeted twice with the assassination tactic and 2 invaders were punished.
On April 19, at 13:00 and 14:30, the invaders in the Çiyareş Resistance Area were targeted and hit twice with sabotage tactics. As a result of these actions, 3 invaders were punished and 1 invader was injured.
On April 18, at 14:40 and 17:45 hours, the invaders who wanted to advance towards the Çiyareş Resistance Area were hit twice by our forces with sabotage tactics. As a result of these actions, 6 invaders were punished. In the evening of the same day, the invaders were targeted again and shot with individual weapons. As a result of this action, 1 occupant was punished and 1 occupant was injured.
On April 19, at 14:30, the invaders who wanted to take up positions in the Werxelê Resistance Area were shot by our forces with heavy weapons on both sides. After the action, the invaders retreated one step.
On April 19, Martyr Şahin, Şikefta Birîndara, Çiyareş, Girê Rûbar, Martyr Dunya, Girê Hell and Girê Rûbar Resistance Areas in the Zap region were bombed tens of times with howitzers fired from police stations on the border line, and 26 times with warplanes.
On 19 and 20 April, Girê Bihar, Girê FM, Sergelê village in the Zap region were bombed 17 times with warplanes.
Between 19 April and 20 April, Serê Metîna, Girê Hakkari and Golka areas in the Metîna region were bombed 13 times with howitzers and warplanes fired from the outposts on the border line.”
