BERLIN – The birthday of the Leader of the Freedom-Loving Peoples Abdullah Öcalan was also celebrated in Berlin today. The internationalist youth of the Şehîd Sara Dorşîn youth commune celebrated Abdullah Öcalan’s birthday this afternoon. Songs were sung, dances were held and the significance of the day was exchanged.
The activists of the youth commune in Berlin – Neukölln planted a tree for Rêber Apo’s birthday and came together as internationalists to do so. While they were planting the tree together, one activist said, “Because April 04 has been a day celebrated in different countries for a long time and people in different corners of the world come together to celebrate the line of revolutionary liberation initiated by Abdullah Ocalan.”
The activists stated that they used the gathering to sing common struggle songs, dance together and exchange views on the importance of this historical date and plant trees. They made clear that this day has a high meaning and explained that this day symbolizes the great efforts and works “which were carried out in the last half century and radiate today from Kurdistan into the world and fill the concept of internationalism with life. Abdullah Ocalan’s life symbolizes a resistance, a mentality that rebels against oppression and injustice and fights for a dignified life, which is why this line is valid for revolutionary forces regardless of their nationality”.
For the planted tree they also put up a sign demanding physical freedom for Rêber Apo.
