YJA Star guerrilla Hevî Ronya evaluated the leadership of women in the war in Heftanîn war, calling for the unity of women. The guerrilla highlighted that their role as guerrillas is to fight in the mountains, but that all women should unite and stand stronger together against the male-dominant mentality. She emphasised that if one woman is being raped, it is the will of all women which is being trod on in her person.
The enemy shrinks and as the woman gains power
YJA Star guerrilla Hevî Ronya evaluated developments around Kurdistan and the rest of the world, from the battle front in Heftanîn. She explained, “Since the operation started, the enemy has suffered a lot and the enemy has become more and more aggressive with each loss. In other words, when we look at Heftanîn today, the actions which are being carried out under the leadership of women is a historical resistance.
Autumn has approached. With the actions we have taken, great losses have been caused to the enemy showing that the technological advantages which the enemy relied on were in vain. The guerrilla is such a force that whatever attack they face, they will always find a way to hit back stronger. We can also give an example of this.
In the operation carried out in Şeşdara, dozens of soldiers came and there was only one team of female guerrillas to fight against them there. A team of female friends fought against dozens of soldiers, howitzers, mortars, cobras and Skorskys. Still their forces were not enough, intervention was also made from the surrounding police stations. The enemy also suffered great losses in the war.
The enemy couldn’t take a step despite having all technology at their disposal, they were constantly deploying, retreating corpses and sending more. At the end, the enemy forces became helpless and backed down. More than fifty planes hit the place where our friends were, and again eighteen times in the evening, and this kind of resistance has never been seen in the history of any war.
Although such a great war was waged even in Vietnam, such technology was not used. The whole world is talking about the Vietnam Revolution today. Even there the planes haven’t hit one coordinate fifty times. Woman friends really showed great resistance in Şeşdeara. Maybe I am only giving the example of Şeşdara, but many actions have been carried out by the YJA-Star forces under the leadership of women all over Heftanîn.
The enemy has many losses, and we can see as light as day that the enemy shrinks as the woman gains power. As fascism attacks women in the society, it could not endure the consequences it would face if the women fought back.”
For the women of the world
YJA Star guerrilla Hevî Ronya stated that as YJA-Star guerrillas, they will increase resistance against the state’s rapist mentality. She said:
“As everyone became aware, the state abducted a young Kurdish girl to a house in Batman for twenty days. The state took her prisoner. The harassment, rape, torture, endured by that girl was carried out by the state. It is not possible that the state was unaware of what was happening.
All fascist attacks, torture, harassment and rape which is carried out by the state’s military, are carried out by the state. Maybe we are fighting against the enemy of in Heftanîn now, but we pay attention to developments around the whole world, our war is not limited to Heftanîn.
Our actions today are for the woman in Şengal, for the woman in Rojava, for the young girl Ipek, who was locked up in the house and harassed, raped and tortured for days in Batman. It is for the woman who are tortured because their babies are born a girl.
Today, our actions, our resistance, are for the woman who was tortured by her husband in Iran. And our war here was never limited to Heftanîn. It was never just the resistance of the Kurds, Turks and Arabs in Heftanîn.
We as women have become one here, and the enemy has definitely lost here, and we will grow this resistance even more, and we will grow this resistance for the women of the world and spread it to the whole world.”
If women stand together, they will not lose
YJA Star guerrilla Hevî Ronya, who took part in the resistance front at Heftanîn, addressed the young women. She pointed out that the resistance of Heftanîn should have an echo in the cities around the world:
“We have a message to the women of the world from Heftanîn. We are fighting in the mountains but you must fight wherever you are, you must raise the resistance in schools, workplaces, homes and dungeons. Every woman should be able to defend herself and every woman should be armed everywhere.
Today, when one woman is raped, it is not only her who is effected. In her person, all women are raped. Today, all women are exposed to violence in the person of a woman who was hit and because of this, all women should be one.
Cenga Heftanîn carried the women’s resistance to history, we must be armed everywhere so that we can further increase this resistance. The soldiers who were hit by YJA Star forces in Heftanîn, must be hit in Istanbul, Izmir and Batman if they return.
The enemy must be hit everywhere, and if we hit the enemy everywhere, the enemy will be defeated. The enemy of women is one. As we cause the enemy to suffer, the enemy will no longer dare to do so. That is why every woman should be armed, and if a woman experiences violence in any sense, she should not remain silent.
If she is attacking a mass of enemies, she should not stand alone. She should not remain silent, should not retreat, instead she must press more against the enemy.
If a woman is tortured in Batman, all women should embrace her, they should rise up. Then she will never lose again. ”
The year of the woman
YJA Star guerrilla Hevî Ronya concluded her speech by promising to increase the resistance in Heftanîn and spread it all over the world. She continued, “this year will be the year of the women’s revolution. With the resistance we started in Heftanîn, we appeal to all women; All women everywhere should rise up, and we will carry out this revolution as one everywhere.”
