FREİBURG, GERMANY
Women activists staged a protest in front of the Freiburg theater, where they hung a banner reading: “See the reality and be aware of what is fraudulently portrayed as real. Be courageous, seek yourself, find the warrior woman in you.” The women displayed pictures of women victims of the murders committed by patriarchal hegemony.
The activists attracted the attention of many passers-by, having made the following statements about the action:
“Our aim in carrying out this action was to commemorate the women who were sacrificed most brutally by patriarchal hegemony. We also commemorate the revolutionary women who, like Sakine Cansiz and the Mirabel sisters, rebelled against this bloody system and resisted to their last breath and thus made history. ”
