Cîwanên Şoreşger, The Revolutionary Youth Movement, have started training themselves militarily since the Turkish state made new threats against the Rojava revolution.
Dawûd Kobanê, a member of the Revolutionary Youth Movement, explained that their training is not only about how to use guns but rather how to develop ideas and live according to the ideology of Leader Abdullah Öcalan. “Our training must be the most successful,” Dawûd expressed.
Our correspondent asked Dawûd what the role of the youth is in the face of the increasing threats by the fascist Turkish state. Dawûd stated: “As I mentioned, we are in education right now. We are developing ourselves in terms of idea, ideology and militarily. We must arm ourselves against the enemy in every field, we will never accept occupation, we will organise our people too. In this sense, the youth must lead the people and organise them.”
Another member of the Youth Organization, Hogir Kobanê, expressed that everyone must attend trainings to develop and protect themselves. When asked about the threats of the fascist Turkish state, Hogir expressed “we have been training non-stop for the past two months. We are ready any moment, any second. We are ready.”
Serdar from the Youth movement explained that the youth must attend education wherever they are. “Whether they are a teacher or a blacksmith, or a member of the traffic police, everyone is responsible to train and be able to provide our city at the very least.”
