BERN, SWITZERLAND
Tevgera Ciwanên Şoreşger held its first conference in Bern, Switzerland. The conference was organized under the slogan: “Bi Hev Re Serhildan for the Freedom of Rêber APO.”
The conference started with an opening speech by a TCŞ activist, and was followed by a minute of silence in memory of all the martyrs of the Kurdistan revolution in the person of Rumet Hêvî Şoreş, who was martyred in Metîna on 19 August. After the election of the council, an agenda was set for the course of the conference.
“As long as we protect the paradigm of our leadership, no power can prevent us”
Revolutionäre Jugend Gruppe Bern (Revolutionary Youth Group) also participated in the conference, which started with the messages of the representatives of the Swiss Democratic Kurdish Society (CDK-S), the Swiss Kurdish Women’s Movement (YJK-S) and the Peace Mothers. Kurdish politician Mustafa Sarıkaya, who attended the conference, made an assessment in his speech, in reference to the duties and responsibilities of the Kurdish youth in the Kurdish Freedom Struggle, which was initiated on the basis of the physical freedom of Peoples’ Leader Abdullah Öcalan.
Making an assessment of the political process about the Middle East, Europe, and especially Kurdistan, Sarıkaya addressed the youth and said: “In order to fulfill the necessity of a free life, do not forget your past, language and culture wherever you live. We are a people who, as all Kurdish people, realize that we have no option for life other than Abdullah Öcalan’s paradigm.
The Kurdish Freedom Struggle has turned into a power that created itself out of nothing and became one of the pioneers of this century. The revenge of those who do not tolerate the Kurdish people being the leading force, is the isolation torture directed against our Leader. As long as we hold firmly to the paradigm of our Leader, no power will prevent us from liberating our Leader or living freely in our own lands.”
A speech was also made by KCK Executive Council member Mustafa Karasu, who continued with evaluations on the attacks of capitalism against young people and the role and mission of the youth against these attacks. In the conference, in which the will for the self-organization of Kurdish youth was strengthened in Switzerland, the youth coordination for Switzerland was chosen. Plans were made for the action-events to be held within the scope of the “Bi Hev Re Serhildan” move in the future.
The conference ended with the slogans “Bijî Serok APO”, “Jin, Jiyan, Azadî” and “Bi Hev Re Serhildan”.
