SOLOTHURN, SWITZERLAND
Following a call for uninterrupted action against the KDP-Iraq threats against the autonomous region of Shengal, the Kurdish youth in Europe have been protesting in countless cities. The call, made by the European Kurdish youth movements, Tevgera Ciwanên Şoreşger and Jinên Ciwan ên Têkoşer, was answered in Solothurn among other cities.
In an overpass in Solothurn, Switzerland, the youth hung a banner reading “Defend Shengal from the hands of Turkey, the KDP, and ISIS.”
Protesting the dirty agreements signed by the KDP and central Iraq government in relation to Shengal, the young activists opened the posters of People’s Leader Abdullah Öcalan, and shouted the slogans “Long live Şengal” and “Long live Öcalan.”
