SGDF Member Tanya Kara and HDP Youth Assembly Executive Board Member Muhammed Erkiz made evaluations to our agency about the attacks against their attempts to initiate a joint platform for youth organizations.
Several youth organizations in Turkey and northern Kurdistan announced the initiation of a joint youth assembly, which was attacked by the fascist Turkish state. The youth assembly is formed of the Socialist Student Movement (SÖH), New Democratic Youth (YDG), Socialist Youth Associations Federation (SGDF), HDP Youth Assembly, Revolutionary Student Union (DÖB) and Dev-Güç (Revolutionary Forces of Youth). Members of these youth organizations Tanya Kara and Muhammed Erkiz spoke to Nûçe Ciwan agency about the fascism they face.
Muhammed Erkiz stated that he was against the rising policies of fascism, racism, nationalism and annihilation, especially in Kurdistan, the Middle East and the world, and stated that the youth and women can only fight against these problems as a united force.
Expressing that the fascist, monist and racist attacks being carried out can only be stopped by a united force of the youth, Muhammed Erkiz emphasized that they will respond to the attacks in every field with this unification. Finally, Muhammed Erkiz expressed that there are efforts to organize and encourage youth to struggle in every field where there are fascistic and racist approaches.
United struggle is necessary for all the oppressed segments
SGDF Member Tanya Kara stated that as the United Youth Assembly, they work on the demands and problems of workers, of the unemployed, the laborers, peasants, students and all other segments of the youth.
Tanya Kara stated that they will take these problems into their agenda and combine them with a political struggle. She emphasized that a united struggle is necessary for all the oppressed, ignored and neglected segments of society, and that it is important to be the voice of the women who have been forgotten about, ignored, murdered, or destroyed.
