A campaign which was launched by the KDP and International Coalition to provide aid for family members of Peshmergas who were martyred fighting against the Islamic State (ISIS) jihadists. The families who attended Peshmerga Hospital in Hewler, a hospital which is financially backed by US- Coalition, to receive aid packages provided by an American organization and the KRG Ministry of Peshmerga Affairs.
After receiving their packages, the families expressed their disgust stating that they were being ridiculed. The packages contained old and ripped clothes and slippers and twelve children diapers, which were later burned in front of the hospital by the families.
Nearly 2,000 Peshmerga were martyred and more than 10,000 others were wounded during the fight against Islamic State (ISIS) militants. Today, the KDP dynasty vocally expresses its support for the Turkish state despite ISIS being a paramilitary wing of the Erdogan regime.
