As part of the city-wide week of action in the city of Bielefeld to mark November 25th, JXK (Kurdistan Women Students) is organizing a week-long exhibition on “Femicide and Self-Defense”.
The exhibition is set to share the stories of: The liberation struggle of Kurdish women, the Shengal massacre, the organization of Kurdish women against the anti-feminist and fascist policies of the Turkish state, the Paris Massacre, Jineology, the women’s revolution in Rojava, the Jinwar women’s village, the resistance of civilian women in Rojava and the YPS-JIN organization, Women’s studies within the Star women’s Congress, YPJ, YJŞ, YJA-STAR and HDP, Hevrîn Xelef, Taybet ana, Barîn Kobanê and three activists who were murdered by the Turkish air force in Kobanê in June 2020, such as Emine, Zehra and Hebun.
In addition to JXK, several other organisations will be taking part in the week of action: AJZ Bielefeld (Autonomous Youth Center), Potemkin Bar, Women’s Cultural Center Bielefeld, Club Nummer zu Platz, Bookstore Mondo, Bookstore Eulenspiegel, Welthaus Bielefeld (World house Bielefeld), Kulturhaus Ostblock and IBZ Bielefeld.
The exhibition will be open from 23 November to 27 November at the Bielefeld Kurdistan Center. The exhibition is set to begin on Monday between 12.00 and 14.00. The program is as follows:
