BEHDİNAN, SOUTHERN KURDISTAN
On the 43rd anniversary of the establishment of the PKK, a group of 43 young people had announced their decision to join the PKK. These young people spoke to Nûçe Ciwan correspondents, explaining their reason for wanting to join the PKK. A transcript of the interviews are as follows:
“My name is Nujîyan. I am from Êfrin. First, I congratulate the founding anniversary of the party (PKK) of all the martyrs of the revolution, especially of Leader Apo, and of all friends fighting on the front.
The first reason for my participation is to know the enemy better. The development of an international conspiracy against Leader Apo does not mean that we will abandon our cause. We will always follow in the footsteps of our martyrs and educate ourselves with the ideas and philosophy of our Leader.”
When asked about the claims made by the Turkish state in relation to no more people joining the PKK, Nujîyan said: “The prime minister of the Republic of Turkey says that there is no participation in the PKK. Today, 43 people have joined the PKK. Let them know very well that we have always been here, we will always be there, and of course, victory is ours. As a young woman from Afrin, I joined and will take their revenge to avenge all women who were murdered and raped. It is time to strangle the enemy and win the victory within the scope of the Time to Ensure Freedom move. ”
The fire lit by the Guerrilla in Hêftanîn
Another young person by the name of Egid Civyan stated: “My name is Egid Civyan. I am from Qamishlo. On this holy day, I joined the PKK ranks. All young people should join the fight against the occupying Turkish state and the treacherous KDP line. As Kurdish youth, we must raise the fire that the guerrilla lit in Hêftanîn. For this, all Kurdish and Kurdistani youth should head to free mountains.
It is time to take our revenge
“My name is Delal Amed. I am from Manbij. November 27 is the foundation anniversary of the PKK, the birth of a free Kurdistan, humanity and the freedom of women. The language and identity of the Kurdish people and women are taken from them. Against the 5000-year-old mentality, we as women mobilised around our martyrs, struggle, ideas and aims of our Leadership, becoming the soul of a Free Kurdistan. It is time to liberate our Leader, take our revenge.”
I urge all Kurdistani youth to join the guerrilla ranks
“My name is Kasım Engin. I am from Kobanê. I joined the guerrilla ranks. We joined on our party’s 43rd anniversary, the holiest day, to break the occupation of the occupying Turkish state on Êfrîn, Serekanî and Grê Spî. I appeal to all Kurdish youth to break the isolation on our Leader, to break the treacherous KDP line. I call the youth of Amed, the youth of Qamishlo, the youth of Kobanê, the youth of Helepce, the youth of Silêmanî and all the Kurdistani youth to join the guerrilla ranks.”
