On the 43rd anniversary of the PKK, 43 young people in Rojava of Kurdistan announced their decision to join the PKK. A transcript of the announcement read by the youth is as follows:
“We, as the youth of Afrin, Kobanê, Girêspî, Serêkanî and Rojava, announce our decision to join the PKK with great anger against the enemy and a great enthusiasm for freedom and liberation. There is no need to say much, the process is very straightforward. In this process, the duties of all the youth is clear. Since our country is under attack and occupation every day, because Kurdish children are killed, because Kurdish women are raped, our people in Afrin and Serêkanîyê are abducted every day, our olive trees are burnt, we rebel by fulfilling our duty, we join the PKK and call on all the youth of Kurdistan to fulfil their duty.
As it is known, the invading Turkish state attacked Heftanin in order to destroy the Kurdish people. However, the spirit of resistance has been growing in Heftanin for 4 months, and in these 4 months, the invading Turkish state has been attacking with the strength and advanced technique it has received from NATO. But the guerrilla strikes every day, causing a major defeat in Heftanin to the invading Turkish army, which defines itself as a great power.”
The only correct answer to the question of freedom and how to live, is the PKK
“Again, our Leader has been held in Imrali for 22 years and a heavy isolation is being carried out on our Leader in the last period. For these 22 years, our Leader has been fighting alone in Imrali for the Kurdish people and humanity. By joining the Imrali resistance, Leader Apo, we will succeed in the resistance of the Kurdish people and the resistance in Heftanin against the enemy and betrayers.
On this occasion, on the 43rd anniversary of the PKK, we appeal to all young people and young women, who are Kurdish, Arab, Assyrian, and Turkmen, to take part in the freedom ranks of the PKK. Success is absolutely ours. Together we will grow the fire of freedom that will succeed and make history.
All honorable, democratic, patriotic youth have a place in the PKK ranks. The only correct answer to the question of freedom and how to live is the PKK. If there is to be life, it must be free, freedom is won through struggle, the name of the struggle is the PKK. We salute the “Time to Ensure Freedom” move initiated by the KCK, as Kurdish youth in the 43rd year of the PKK, we say that it is time to liberate the Leader, the time is the time for guerrilla, the time is the time for revenge.”
