The National Center for Armenian Memory in France and the Armenian Genocide memorial in Decines, Lyon, have been vandalized, according to the High Commissioner for Diaspora. ‘The Turks vandalized the Armenian Genocide Memorial in Lyon,’ the Commissioner’s office captioned a photo of the two memorials on Facebook.

The inscription ‘Loup Gris’ (Grey Wolves) has been sprayed on the building of the National Center for Armenian Memory, beneath the letters RTE (Recep Tayyip Erdoan).

The Lyon-based Centre National de la Mémoire Arménienne (Armenian National Memory Center) said a “complaint will be lodged following this abject act, concerning the memory of the French-Armenians.”

“We call on French-Armenian citizens not to give in to provocations and to not answer this type of hate call,” they concluded.

On Wednesday evening, a mob of the Gray Wolves invaded the streets of Vienne to the south of Lyon hunting for Armenian civilians.
