BEHDİNAN, SOUTHERN KURDISTAN
On the 43rd anniversary of the PKK, 23 young people in Bashure (South) Kurdistan announced their decision to join the PKK.
The young people shared in their statement that they will fight until the last drop of their blood against those who want to sell and occupy Kurdistan: “Keeping silent means to serve those who have sold themselves and want to invade Kurdistan,” the new warriors explained. A transcript of their statement is as follows:
“As it is known, the occupying Turkish state wants to occupy Bashurê Kurdistan culturally and politically through Kurdish forces. There is no solution left for our people against occupation, they either migrate to Europe and remain refugees until their death or they join forces of freedom for the resistance of their people, like us.
To the families of martyrs:
You know that not many years have passed since the liberation of the lands of southern Kurdistan, with the blood of martyrs. This heroism is being sold by the betrayers for the pleasure of themselves and their children. We cannot involve ourselves in this situation.
To the honorable people of Kurdistan:
Those governing our houses have been ruling over the people for years, they have not only inflicted an annihilation policy against our people, but they also exploited our people, they surrendered in war whenever they wanted, they gave every inch of Kurdistan to the invaders.
In doing so, they did not ask the public, and they never held anyone to account for what they have done to the public. When the people raised their voices, they opened their eyes in our own dungeons. Thereupon, we decided to join the guerrilla in order to protect the honor of the people of Bashure Kurdistan. We will fight till the last drop of our blood against the Turkish state, which wants to occupy the lands of Bashur and destroy the Kurdish people.
To the youth of Bashure Kurdistan:
We are not going through a very easy time and process. If we do not start making serious decisions, it may not be a very distant memory that nothing remains for the lands of Bashur. Keeping silent means to serve those who have sold themselves and want to invade Kurdistan.
For this; With great determination, we promise the martyrs of Kurdistan that we will walk on their paths against our enemies who want to sell and occupy our lands. And we hope that our voices will reach our courageous young people and that they will understand the current situations and dangers properly.
With the participation of hundreds and thousands of young people, we will eradicate their occupation and betrayal. ”
